i dont believe so, if it did i didnt find it useful. i did have a CD player from factory. The first of my mods was a new headunit, then door speakers, subaru tweeters, Amp for the sub and my 4 channel will be arriving today so that will be wired in sometime next week

I burned all my CDs to MP3s. I have a Samsung Fit drive in my USB port (on the dash). I can listen to any of my CDs at any time.
Much better than fumbling around with CDs.

My 2018 has one. My old Subaru Outback had a CD changer AND a cassette player, I wish cars still had that. Oh well.

    Mostly dust and dirt.
    I’d like a CD player because I own about 300 CD’s.
Yes , I can spend hours burning them onto a stick and pretend that’s convenient.
Or I could just play the CD’s. Or I could if I had a CD player in my truck.

Except for the horrible sound quality. I'd sooner listen to talk radio before I listened to an MP3.

I had a similar problem with my 2018 Subaru, they removed the CD Player for 2018. I got a portable CD player for $25 from Best Buy and use a cord plugged into the Aux input. This way my phone stays clear. I had a 2nd cord that I left in my Subaru so I just put the CD player in whichever car I drive. I also have a large collection and have no desire to download anything, even if I don't have to use MP3 as the format. It's nice to just put in a Disc and listen.

I have put in Racesport gen3 leds I'm the process of doing a custom audio overhaul which will include Hybrid audio unity 6x9 mid bass, unity 3 inch mid driver in the dash and fiberglassing tweets in pilar soundeading all the doors, floors, and headliner and I will be using a helix processor to retain the factory radio and as far as subs I might make custom brackets to move rear seat foward a few inches to get a full size sub in there or I might just go with a pair of jl tw5 or tw3 and it will all be powered by jl audio HD amps or I might try out the new hybrid amps
Come down to audiohouse in Napa ca we have CD players for our trucks. They plug into the usb or we can swap out that oem radio.

I burn my MP3s at the highest bitrate. I also tried FLAC (lossless) and I don't notice any difference in quality.
I don't have premium audio, the audio plus base unit doesn't seem to have a high enough sound quality that MP3 vs FLAC vs CD makes a difference.
    At least I didn't notice a difference.

Burn the CD to an MP3 and use a thumb drive in the dash usb port.

I'm opening a vintage CD shop where kids can shuffle up and down the aisles in their birkenstocks and hand-knit beanies, flip through albums just to hear that satisfying hard plastic "clack-clack-clack," and get into deep arguments on which Dave Matthews album was the best. Vinyl will be phasing out again and the newest generation of music nerds need the next big thing to feel all superior to each other. I just need to find the right employee that instead of getting paid, he just shows up for the unlimited coffee and insults.

SSO hybrid bumper, Warn winch, RCI skid trilogy, RRW sliders, everything in the cheap/free mods thread, and of course the frame recall work.
Rip all your CDs to a USB using Windows Media Player. Plug that in to the USB slot in the truck. Problem solved.

There's always that, sounds a hellva lot cheaper and easier than installing yesteryear's yesterdecade's tech.

I have at least 200 CDs. I burned a few a day. But now I have my entire CD library available through the head unit all the time.
