There are a ton of reasons, for starters it protects everything you hook up to it. The most practical thing is that it acts as a quick disconnect when you are working on any current/future projects.

Most winches will need more like 200A for the breaker. If you use a smaller one be prepared to bypass it in an emergency. I am using this one...but I still have a short jumper just in case :D

Curious about the Bussman 5 relay box.
The total max amperage for the box is 80, correct?
What are the individual relays rated for?

Can I get one with 12awg power wires?

@Yotamac Love your stuff in the 2nd gen section. I have a 2017 TRD sport 6MT V6, I was curious if you have a mounting plate that will work with the MT? I am fine with no cut outs and/or moving my clutch reservoir Thanks!
I have 4 relay rectangular box, a blue sea fuse box (6), and will also add a circuit breaker and negative bar.20190310_013917.jpg

Ordered mine sometime in the fall and received it shortly thereafter.
Dropped right into the location I wanted it to go without much fuss. Wiring was straightforward from there.

(Excuse the brown wire...it was temporary and has since been removed.)

That's the universal bracket that comes with the RTMR. I had him add a cutout for the main circuit breaker and then just drilled holes to match the threaded holes on the inside of the fender of our trucks.
