Fun day. Installing a salt free water softener system with pressure gauges, multi stage filters and UV light. I did as much as I could beforehand but today was cut the main to the house and no going back. Got part way done and the propane tank ran out. No biggie, grabbed second tank and it was empty. It was either empty when I bought it or leaked in the last couple of months. A trip to Lowes for two new tanks.

None of the solders leaked but a lot of the threaded joints did. I used the pink tape and T to 2. Chased those down for a couple hours then flipped the last valve back into the house. No water. Went back and the last gauge read zero. it turns out the UV filter has a one way check valve in it. I had checked the directions and didnt see anything but checking again there is one small arrow on the directions.

No water in the house for tonight. I'll have to get more pipe and elbows tomorrow to reroute it.

Thanks. There is light at the end of the tunnel. My arthritis in my elbows was really kicking in at the end of the day. I haven't worked that hard in a while.

At least the sprinklers work and the hose at the front of the house for now. 5 gallon buckets to flush the toilets for tonight. :)

Original plans I made a few months ago. I have added and changed it a little bit from there.

I just watched the trailer 2010. It's free on Amazon prime so I added it to my watch list.

Got rubbing alcohol, baby wipes and lots of 0W20 in the garage!

Been there, spent a weekend without water a couple years ago when the pump went out. Couldn't get a new one in until Monday. Got a 25gal tank from the neighbor and we keep plenty of drinking water on hand:thumbsup:

Fixed garage roof this afternoon. Found some other spots that were going to be trouble soon and got after them right away. 15 minute job turned into 2 hours:bananadead:

My lawn will never look like that. Marsh land, lousy fill, and topsoil. It’s either brown, bare, or
moss. Stopped really trying as I’ve spent as much as I’m going to..
    Wonderful view...

Bald tires and wet asphalt makes it so easy a caveman can spin the tires.
Don’t need to beef up anything..

You think they would make a important thing like a directional arrow more pronounced. Kinda like food expiration dates..

    Good morning :pccoffee:

Got work done at a decent time last night so climbed into bed early. Windows finally open it is 46° just about perfect. 5:08 this morning every bird in the world starting singing. Then a great horned owl started calling and a wild turkey outside the window and him started playing dueling banjos. Had the alarm set for 5:30, didn't need it. By 5:30 finished my first cup of coffee.
