Show me your clean truck!

I'm thinking about doing that to my truck. How long did it take you?

 

I enjoyed it for an hour before the crazy pollen here in the valley covered it.

 

Cleaned up the inside of my truck today. It and the tailgate have been the dinner table a few times lately for me and the wife.

 

Griots Ceramic Wax is pretty good.

 

Took advantage of a real nice day out and treated the truck to a wash, clay, medium cut, and wax. Came out good considering hasnt been done in 2 years and probably hasnt been washed in 6 months. Still some pinstripes but that happens with black truck in the woods

Probably about 12 hours spread over two days. I wasted a lot of time figuring out the DA polisher, testing different pad combos and techniques.

 

You have no idea how strong the chemicals used in touch free washes are. I remember as a kid using a product called simonize rage without gloves once. Stuff was pink and I thought it dyed my hands. No it took off the skin. We would test what it could do on sewer grates, did you know they are shiny under the rust?

 

I was wondering why the last picture of the parking lot... then I realized haha well done!

I take mine to the car wash, not the auto wash, but a self wash. Just hit it with the pressure washer to spray of the majority of the dirt, making sure to get the heavy caked on stuff off. Then at home, on a dry vehicle, I use waterless wash and wax products. I like San-zo waterless wash, and either Mothers or Maguiars spray on quick wax. Just follow the directions on the bottles, and use a clean microfibre on each body panel for each process. Twice a year I do a deeper detailing with wash, clay bar, wash, polish, sealant, and wax. But in between, I follow the process I described above.

 

Debated tire shine and did it.
