Owner of a vehicle that gives my vehicle a parking lot door dent will not be happy with the results... I consider that the same as a hit and run if they don't leave a note with their contact information.

As far as the simonize treatment plan, it was a dealer option when i asked about the frame issue, the service manager showed me the simonize plan that covers the interior, and exterior as long as i own the vehicle which was recommended because i tend to keep a vehicle many years. They cover any paint issues, and any interior issues. Said i'd never need to wax the truck ever, only washing it occasionally. Its been a couple months now without being washed. Its amazing the truck still looks like the day picked up. If it were my tundra, it'd look like crap by now.

THIS IS THE WORST. !! I have two chips on the leading edge of the hood, two on the edge of the driver's door. Several on tailgate near the top plastic. SUCKS! I'm waiting for the weather to get better and then I'll have to get them taken care of. I'll be doing 3M clear on the front, once the chips are fixed I'm just not sure how much I will cover, and I'm going to do a strip on the tailgate.

I just use touch-up paint and don't worry about it.

Not a rock chip in the paint, but one in the window. Hadn't got to the first traffic light after picking it up and pulling out of the dealership when a dump truck threw a small rock and chipped the windshield. That's been two years ago, and that little chip seems to be stable.

Same happened to the tundra on a 45 mph road here after owning the truck for a month...dump truck threw a stone, and it hit smack in the middle driver side windshield cracking that half badly.

I might have some chocolate chips in my seat from the cookie I ate the other day.
Seriously though, 2016 Taco, and I haven’t noticed any significant rock chips yet.

I have '18 TRD Sport with about 21,000 miles on it. I have one small paint chip on the front grill surround. Tried Dr Color Chip and the Silver Sky Metallic they sent me wasn't even close to a match.
I have found the OEM mud flaps and the side steps really protect your sides/rockers.

I had a decent size chip on the driver's side front fender flare where someone hit me with their door. Took it to the body shop where they repaired/painted it and did an amazing job. Perfect paint match and you can't tell it was ever repaired. Cost $192.

My second gen has a at least one paint chip on the hood down to the metal and is rusted. IIRC I, or a neighbor was mowing grass or operating string trimmer when that happened.

I don't have any on my hood because of the clear protector that was port installed. I have several that are down to the metal because they are rusting on the roof. Considering I live in Fla where there are no rocks, it is a bit concerning.
