Thanks. I'm stoked. I already looked into lifts and Bendpak makes one that will fit with the 9 ft ceiling.

 

Almost have all of my stuff moved over to the new house. I just have to finish moving kitchen items and some food, and I'll be done. I had a local company move my furniture yesterday, so I slept my first night here last night.

I tried relaxing by the pool yesterday after lunch, but the wind picked up and ran me off.


I'm thinking that my reclaimed wood flag looks good over the fireplace. Don't mind the mess. I just piled everything in the livingroom, so the bedrooms were clear for furniture moving.

Did you use a harness adapter for the MAPECU3? curious what it took to install and tune this..

 

I used a plug-n-play harness adapter from URD. It's just a jumper that goes between the ECU and factory plugs, so you make the connections to it instead of hacking up your factory harness. If I remember correctly, I needed the Type F PNP harness.

As for tuning, I haven't done any. It's just passing the signals through. I don't have a way to log OBD2 signals, so I have to tune real time and don't have a copilot to do it safely.

 

Thanks for the info, i was wondering how that worked. That plug and play adapter sounds like a great option so you can still go back to stock if needed. I may hold out for HP tuners to start supporting the 2TR.. theyre supposed to be working on some stuff, but i heard it was put on the backburner recently

 

I was hoping OVTune would repurpose the MAP sensor on the 2TR but he seems to refuse to touch the 2nd Gen and can't crack the 3rd Gen. I'd wait for HP Tuners, they had put it on backburner but said it's coming up now

Finally started working on installing a Pop-N-Lock, backup camera, and Mobtown tailgate skin.

I got the rivnuts installed, but the head twisted off one of the tailgate handle bolts. I'll need a new bolt to finish the pop-n-lock install. Then run the wiring for the camera.

Still putting along on the PNL install. I ran down to the Toyota dealer on Monday to pick up the replacement bolt for the tailgate handle. Today, I got the handle reattached and fished the camera wire through one of the drain holes. It took some finagling to get fed through, but I got it. I fed the lines into the passenger tail light to connect to the backup lamp to trigger the radio, and I tore the dash apart to be able to route the wires later.

 

Installed d-rings and picture wire on the back of my reclaimed wood flag this morning and hung it over the fireplace. I used a hook that was already there.

 

PS: I noticed it was off center when I posted the picture, and I've fixed that. Now it's centered and level. When I hung it this morning, I just checked level and not how it was actually positioned.

 

Do you have any more info on what kind of modification it took to fit this on your 5spd prerunner? I am about to do something similar on my truck but with a pelfreybilt trans skid. Im sure its apples and oranges, but do you know if the crossmember further back on our 4cyl prerunners than on the 4wd v6 trucks?

 

I can tell you what I had to do. I had a 4wd 4cyl automatic and SOS skids. The IFS and T case were fine but I had to cut and extend the trans skid 2”. Jeremy had the 4 cyl prerunner with a Mobtown skid and I cut and extended the trans skid 1.75”.

 

So roughly 3.75" of extension total needed for it to fit up nicely on the prerunner? Thank you for chiming in, really appreciate the info

 

Nooooo I extended mine 2” to fit and had to extend his 1.75” to fit. Two separate skids and trucks. My suggestion is to mount your IFS skid. Try to mount trans skid my assumption is it will be too short. If it is then cut it cross way and mount the front to IFS skid supporting the rear with a jack. Then mount the rear part and measure the distance in between and it will tell you how much it needs to be extended.

 

Ohhh! Okay that makes sense, thats even better. I may end up making an adapter plate to bridge the gap.. the one i bought is aluminum and i dont know if i want to cut it if i can avoid it
