My Tacoma Refuses to Say Naughty Words

So yesterday I was trying to figure out why my Tacoma was not reading out my text message. After fiddling around with it I figured out that my Tacoma will not read out loud a message if it has a naughty word in it.

 

My tacoma doesn’t even show texts anymore

I found that text feature to be unsafe. When the wife would ride in the truck, she’d get really annoyed when the girlfriend would text.

 

I bet you were, but there are clearly other meanings since she chose that term, instead of cat.

Is there a setting for this? I'd be pretty annoyed if my truck had features with functionality chained to somebody else's view of what is appropriate.

Yeah I don't have the Tacoma read off the texts when the wife is with me.

 

I LITERALLY got caught with that years ago. Before my wife. But oh wow it was bad. Text came up in a BMW I owned. And she said some really dirty stuff with my at the time girlfriend sitting in the passenger seat.

 

How did that go? She get turned on and request a 3 way?

 

I did not find a "Just say it, damn it!" button anywhere.

 

I was pretty shocked that I forgot to turn the bluetooth off. Message came on the screen, she turns to read it, loses her shit. Then proceeds to copy the other girls phone number down, gets out of the car and calls her. Funny thing is, I was able to keep both of them (by letting them think it was over with the other) for a few more months.
