More room for his neck, but can he get his body up the extra height?

What about a simple pacer lift on the front shocks to accomplish the same thing?

That would be a bit easier to install

Also gives you plenty of options from 1-3".

Can be done for under $100

I agree but then you also have the expense of an alignment. So cost wise pretty much the same. Installing the spacer is much less labor though and OP never said if he was doing it himself or not.

I did my body lift in two days, could be done in a day easily. Take your time and only lift the body just enough to squeeze in the spacer, learned that the hard way and ripped an ABS wire. :)

Considered a 1" body lift but a wonder what has to be done with the manual shifter and steering. Not much use to though as I am too cheap to pay for a regear so won't go with any bigger tires most likely

Can’t say for the taco but I made the mistake of installing a body lift in my Dodge Ram 50. Had to cut the floor to accommodate the new steering column angle.

removed the lift a year later. Now I think the only acceptable body lift is a boob job.

Are we sure OP has a prerunner?

Could be a base model. Stock, those sit kinda low. Body lift might help him out.

Stock manual transmission shifter gets cut below the shifters boot and an extension welded in. For the steering a bolt on extension comes with the kits that require the steering to be extended (depends on amount of lift). Nothing has to be done at the firewall for the steering.
