I think I lost 38%, then rallied about 35%. None of it mattered other than the purchases I made near the bottom.

I've been reading about a meat shortage, but I don't buy enough meat to pay attention. I grill about once a week, but seldom cook any meats the rest of the week.

HEB, a Texas grocery store, has a limit of 5 meat items whether chicken, pork, beef, or turkey. Normally, we eat ground turkey over beef (even though beef tastes so much better.) That is more than enough to last for the two of us.

Anyone else feeling tomorrow might be a dumpster fire? The optimism over opening up held last week up for a bit, but I haven’t seen much for good news lately.

    Consider that a buying opportunity.

May is traditionally bad. I'm gonna toss a dart and say it's gonna be an up daye.

Nothing else makes sense, why start now.

In the California Bay Area.... stores I have frequented have been limiting meat purchased from the start of lockdown. First toilet paper now meat. Can’t wait to see what’s next. Hope it’s not booze!

    Sad isn't it?

When I realized how biased they were and how they push fake news, I stopped watching it decades ago.

The meat shortage will be only time I've been happy I have gout! My wifes going insane on my low meat diet, as I cook, I keep telling her it's not so bad now LOL!! We made a few strategic purchases and have a month worth of meat for the two of us in the freezer. Bonus I lost 35lbs since october.

What's up with the futures down, I thought the market was going to take off like a rocket once stuff starts opening up per this thread??:D:popcorn:

Wouldn't matter, because you can't find a freezer for sale right now.

My family's looking into that. May be able to pick up a cow cheap within the next few weeks here, just need to find a shop to butcher it.

    Slaughtered cow for the record.
