I think the shipping companies are bogged down. And bike shops are crazy busy because it took a pandemic to get everyone to actually want to go outside for some reason. I heard sales at my local shops are up like 400% and bike aisles in the Walmarts and Academy’s are all whipped out.

I ordered a Hope wheelset from them years ago. They were good. I think it’s just the covid shenanigans. Your bike will get here

That appeared to be a low consequence style jump so you should session it. Those bunny hop skills are what you do as you get onto the face of any jump. Drops are harder in my opinion so you have more confidence than you are giving yourself credit for.

The Revolt is one of my favorite Giant bikes. It's fast as hell on every surface. Congratulations on N+1!!

Give "Komoot" a try - that thing is magic at finding trails... I've really enjoyed it and I am impressed. It is great - even though it has low level participation down under still...

I agree. Enjoy the sounds [and silence/peacefulness]. I dislike the isolation of the music... I am out there to enjoy what the trails provide - not to make it the same as all other environments. And certainly not to listen you anyone's crappy playlist while I am becoming 'one with nature'! :bikewhoops:

I've never seen people with buds music on serious trails... I honestly do not think it would go over very well... Especially if your lack of hearing caused a collision...

Plus - save you hearing! (you may need it later!)

Yeah we did “session” it haha. That was like my 4th jump off of it.

I think drops worry me less because of my speed, which as I just typed that out makes me feel dumb for not being willing to hit a jump faster haha

I replaced a set of Tektro mechanical discs on my wife's fatbike with Sram Level hydraulics. The Tektro and Sram rotors were the same size, so I didn't run into any issues there. Of course, that may or may not be the case for you.

I did the same. Tektro to Shimano Zee. Worked like a champ.

We got a little lost yesterday and put down 20 miles. Worth it though!168A2001-D996-4F28-B746-7028D71CB8F2.jpg

I just finished a 30 day straight riding challenge, but generally +-3 days a week.

Usually 2 after work rides and then a bigger weekend push.

Ive noticed a HUGE difference in the last 30 days from getting saddle time in both in Strava times as well as how I felt post ride.

Went and rode technical southern utah terrain and was gassed after 8 miles back in Jan. Rode the same types of riding this weekend for day 29 and 30, and I finished our first 8 miles, we got back to camp and a buddy and I went out for a 7 mile party lap. Wrapped up the day with another 7 before dinner. No way that was happening a couple months ago.

Just got word that I may be swinging through Utah with my truck+bikes in late June and again in early August. I may offer you a chance to battle me for that throne while I'm out there, so I'll send a pm once I have more details. :headbang:

Did everyone here start on a Hardtail? or was I just unlucky?

I started on a BMX bike. Rode pretty much every day growing up, which really taught me good bike handling. Then I moved up to a full suspension and I’ve been doing that since. I also got a hard tail, which is crazy fun; but I’ll probably swap the parts over to a 29er soon and see how that goes.

I grew up on BMX bikes as a kid also. I didn't get my 1st full suspension(Giant Trance) till I moved to CO years after not riding anything. Recently picked up a dedicated DH(Giant Glory) for a little more cush but have barely gotten to ride it. I'm still getting used to jumping with these bigger bikes.

As many days as possible if trails are dry. Otherwise I work on the house or go running
