Half cow is plenty, unless it's a larger family.

Doesn't seem to be a problem where I am. All my local stores have full shelves. Beef, pork, chicken etc. My dogs eat roughly 10 lbs of raw meat a day so a disruption in production would not be a good thing for me. Luckily it hasn't been an issue here yet but we will see.

Haven't been to a store since Saturday the 25th, plenty of meat and no restrictions. Bought 14lb of chuck roast and 19lb boston butt. Smoked the chuck for pulled beef last weekend, smoked the pork this weekend. Portioned, vacuum sealed, and in the freezer. We're set for a while now.

Market wise it'll be interesting to see the effects in a few days as we see whether or not we have a substantial spike in new cases after places have started reopening.

I think there’s a group of elites that have driven this whole thing in order to line their pockets. I’m not a big conspiracy theorist or anything, but this is just what I believe. I think they want to control the market and drive the price down even further so they can gobble it all up with billions. Coronavirus has what? A 1% death rate of people that we’ve tested? What about all the people that haven’t been tested? For instance, my wife’s sister tested positive after they had a birthday party for another sister. Well, after that my wife and daughter got sick and guess what? They never got tested. I know this happens all the time and isn’t just an isolated case to our family. The stigma around Coronavirus is worse that Coronavirus itself. Simple Logic.

I expect it to be exaggerated and exploited, regardless what the actual results are. :tinfoilhat:

    Under development
I would think the state’s reopening would fudge the numbers the other way. Hide any spike in cases, attribute it to more testing. They don’t want to shutdown again.

    Of course it will be.

Particularly the closer we get to November.

I'm already seeing political ads here in GA that are playing off of COVID19.

It will go down as the largest hoax in the history of the world when it's all settled and studied a few years from now.

There's a whole thread for smoking BS :) I have a chuck roast I brought up to 160 but need to see if I can "re-smoke" it up to about 205 so I can shred it. It's just me though, wife is a vegan so I don't do 20+ lbs :D I do have a vac sealer though. Worthy investment.

But also include the states that didn't open, so they can justify their decision.

What? 200 years of records vs billions of years of no data isn't a good way to prove an argument about the planet's weather history? lol

Until you get caught lying about your data.

I'm sure the Dictator to the north had a valid reason for deleting 100 years of data from their climate report in 2019...

The media is so dishonest, I don't think they even have enough shame for it to matter when they get caught lying. Their entire daily 24-hour news cycle is all lies. Somehow, people still believe it. Russia, Ukraine, now the cold bug, it never ends.
