    My shit is all stock.
Be sure to stop short of making contact at the rear of the hub with the bearing retaining washer. All four of the pulleyboys hubs that I’ve done were a hair too lengthy back there.

Good info. Pretty easy to tell when it gets that close? I plan to go little by little.

is it going to have an issue with the pulley boy hub seems like there’s room but I’ll take your work for it. Last thing I need is to press that spacer. Extra cautious after that snout ordeal.

Shit bolted onto other shit, and junk.
He sleeved to dead center a drill and extraction of the broken bolt from the impact gun. He then retapped and cleaned the snout so that he could reapply and mount a cutter to cut back the snout for the 2.8 pulley.

oh gotcha that makes sense now. Pretty smart to use a sleeved to drill perfectly center.

I thought the same thing when I saw it. I guess that is what comes from experience. Nothing makes me more antsy when trying to extract something and keep the drill centered by hand. Hell, I can barely drill out a rivet.

yah that little sleeve was a life saver. It pays to have some experience when doing some things. But then again if you don't break it then you may never know how to do it wrong.

So are the inlet of both of these TRD tubings the same diameter?

I believe the TB side is a bit smaller on the Tacoma. The coupler is close enough and tightened down has no issue.

Yep, the worm drive gear reduces the coupler down sufficiently to provide a proper seal from the intake to the throttle body.

Im asking about the inlet side diameter of the 4Runner TRD tubing cause it might match up perfectly to a TRD/AFE CAI box. I’m not worried about the throttle body side of the tubing so much. Looking at the pictures the inlet sides look almost the same 4Runner vs tacoma

Oh yes I believe it’s the same parts the tube and MAF are the main items. I believe @BillDaCat8 used his existing intake and swapped the tube/MAF

Does anyone know if this tube would fit on the old style afe intake? It looks so similar I wonder if I could make it work. Or it could be an inch sideways and it wouldn't work at all.

I don't think it will but can take look. I have both at my house. You can buy the lid and bottom directly from Toyota which is what we did if you decided to update it.
