I'd really like to try that Thule Hullavator and remember seeing review vids on it. Glad to hear you like it. I recently picked up a Hobie and been concerned with how to load it on my own easier on my racks. Noticed on the website the Hullavator has a Load Capacity at 75 lbs. Pretty sure my kayak is pushing that already. How heavy is yours? Does it clear your side mirrors okay?

Did possibly my favorite mod to my truck!

Dear sweet baby Fuckin Jesus is it so much more peaceful in my truck!!

I was one of those with a weather stripping TSB if under 20k miles (I wasn’t). I had the howling wind kazoo noise over 65mph on windy days. As bad was the “clicking” noise right by my head, from the rubber sticking together and unsticking. Sticking unsticking. That shit was relentless. Tried flexible tubing. Tried dielectric Grease. Tried silicon spray. Finally just replaced it today.

    Fucking A what a difference.

I really, really need to do this. For me, says they're $92 each side. When I searched your part number it said $109.85?

Does this solve the high pitched whistling at high speed/wind? I get it pretty regularly at any speed over 70 with some decent winds. Don't think I have the clicking noise though.

    This and that...
I've been really pleased with mine. Have about 4 years with it. Still looks new. Treat it with some UV protectant every couple of months and re-sealed the seams on the inside once. Has held up great in heavy snow, rain and wind. Obviously you'll get some seepage sometimes in the corners but never an amount to worry about.

A friend of mine makes these. Not ideal for a roof, but I know a few people that use them on their camper shells. I have seen my friend load a 14' kayak with it. 150lbs.

Thanks for that. I have Thule bed racks and something like that would probably work well for me. I'm trying to consider multiple options along with what kind of space I'll have behind me or along side of me. Some places I park for kayaking is parallel type and if someone parks behind me, I'd be repositioning my truck somehow. I guess I should buy both, haha.

He sent me a picture of one mounted on a Taco but I cannot seem to find it. Its probably on his social media. He invented it because he uses those big fishing kayaks that have the peddle paddles. Just figured I would through it out there. You know, small business love.

Yes. But if you just have the whistling, get A single maybe 20” long 1/4” flexible line (like oxygen tubing or soft irrigation line) and put it behind the weather stripping on the side it’s making noise. Mine still worked for over two years like that. The clicking however justified me replacing them

Access cab vs double cab. I have access cab and my parts were 62311-04041 and 62311-04051 and were $123.87 each and see that they are cheaper now then when I ordered them last week
