The SR thread, let's see them!

Added some grille lights. I'll probably still eventually pick up the xtrek grille.

 

I'll post up pics of them lit once I get them wired up.

Ok. I'll finish wiring them up in a day or so. Drilling holes and grinding the back of the grille took way longer than it should have. That top part of the grille looks easy to poke holes in, but there is some stuff behind that panel that made it a pita to mount the lights.

 

Cologne and Rhoto's…..sounds like a good time..

 

Can any of you new 2020 SR owners confirm or deny that KEYLESS ENTRY is now INCLUDED on all
2020 SR models ?? I've been researching this online and getting lots of conflicting answers.....I'm looking for
a definitive yes or no.....does your 2020 SR have keyless entry?

 

Keyless entry is part of the optional convenience package. Not standard equipment. From the build config tool at toyota.com

 

I'm getting conflicting info on that......seems as though the "build config tool" is not correct for the 2020.
I've got the dealer looking into it....

 

Mine does, but it has the convenience package. I don't think the utility package has keyless entry standard.

 

Done. I'm kinda anal about dressing and protecting non-factory wiring, so that took more time than the actual install. Hopefully these things hold up. If not I'll have a grille with 4 holes in it. I guess when these things give out I'll have a reason to get the xtrek grille. Sorry no night pics.

I was just informed by my dealer that the conveinience pkg is standard on the SR V-6 tacomas and is only available as an add on option
for the SR 4 cylinder tacomas......this might be a regional things, not sure.....

 

Once I get fog lights I want to tap into the fog light fuse (currently tapped into passenger headlight). Can anyone confirm that tapping into the fog light fuse will work? Never seen anyone do this?

 

My 2020 SR definitely has keyless entry

 

MY 2020 SR 4 cylinder did not come with keyless entry.

left side cubby in the small blank slot. perfect fit.

if i could do it over again i'd probably do it in the center underneath the climate controls. my knee gets in the way sometimes with the switch on the left side.
