Idea 1: In light of your recent power line tours, possible the drum on one side is sticking. Clunk being the drivetrain slack (5*) being applied laterally across rear axle as you come on/off load. Check: jack rear end off ground, disengage e-brake, spin each rear tire by hand, ensure drum not stuck.

Idea 2: spare tire clunkin’ around or big pile of rocks on it. Check, flat on your back under spare tire, kick it shake it and listen with your eyes closed (will likely drop debris in your face)

Idea 3: re-torque every bolt you loosened for the bed swap.

Idea 4: bad shock bushing in the rear would make an awful noise

Thinking it’s the u-joints. The only likely cause I can think of. Will try to make it to Alberta and then figure it out from there. When shifting from D to R and vice versa I’m getting a clunk and pang sound which signals to me a u joint is near the end of its life. Hopefully it holds out for the next few days. If not I may have to pull the old tail shaft removal 4x4 enabled front wheel drive

Was that for me? Cuz, no. I been saving up the ckp recall for nearly 3 yrs, cuz it's been great. For the frame recal, it was a deep clean, wax film...but most importantly the extended 12 yr frame warranty if it got done. I Krown yearly, so no worries...I did get to drive a tundra for a week. Very much realized I don't want a tundra.

I'm with you on oil spraying... lol in 12 years I doubt my truck will be original/factory enough for the dealer to figure out how to take it apart. ...

18 and 19's get the fuel pump and front radar
16's get the CKP and waxed....

Call Consumer Reports and tell them the 17's are the reliable year....

I missed the fuel pump recall by just a couple weeks mfg date..... so I ain't gonna gloat too much :anonymous:.

I really don't like taking my truck to the dealer any more.... even when it's free.

It seems that except for a few techs, they know the least about out trucks...
and I spend more time waiting than if I had done it myself...
and the cookies are stale.... :angrygirl:

If anyone here in on the fence about snow runner its pretty good.
My only beef with it right now is that the steering doesn't snap straight again when you let go of the controls. Which is fine when your going slow but driving on the road its impossible to drive a straight line. the other thing is that the 3rd person camera floats around like a drunk ghost. The game is pretty bare bones right now but im pretty sure they’re going to keep adding stuff so its fine. I’ve also been stuck most my time playing so far because i keep going up places i probably shouldnt be going at low level
