    i wish :pout:

the camper is a little sketchy on its little legs. i have it up on its own right now, truck is still underneath it but not bearing any of the weight. i can make the whole thing sway just by pushing on it with one hand. hope it doesn't get windy while i'm at the tire shop later and its really on its own...

i trust you're not making the decision to keep working lightly...just hope it works out in your favor in the long run

I'd lower it down when you pull the truck out...I assume it has that system you control all four jacks from one location?

oh, i plan too. just the added complication of the driveway being sloped and the camper being front heavy

    Afternoon !!!!! :hattip:

The VA just called to inform me that my General health care Doctor visit next Friday 5-15-20 has been changed to telephone conference call . I was hoping my Doctor was going to have me come in so he could examine me and check on the progression of my MS disease

This is so he can talk with my Neurologist and they could talk to ea other over his findings . Now I'm concerned my Neurologist appt for next month could be canceled also or another telephone conference call

The VA needs to reopen it's clinics !!!!

we have field service techs with service trucks grumbling about having to travel for worko_O
Let me break this down... Field service techs with Field service trucks...:annoyed:
I am so over their shit. Just gave them pay rises at the beginning of the year for inflation and they are all getting pay rises for the year anyway.
They are acting like prima donnas. We have laid no one off and managed to keep everything going although as a company we are taking a beating. Just one group is acting like this.
I know of companies that have laid of 80+% of their field service techs and some that closed their field service groups completely.
There are 30M folks unemployed due this china-vid 19 mess through no fault of their own and we have guys not happy about doing the job they signed on for. They are also still getting OT just to be in the field...
BTW, they get paid well and are amongst the top earners in the company....

    Rant over..

The big boss is taking the lead on this matter, because my solution was met with, “Well, I do not think we are there yet.”

    People sux...

Love that guy. I used to go to the Old Absinthe bar back in the 90’s and watch every weekend. I haven’t seen him since a Jazzfest many years ago.
    Great choice

    Sigh
    Ok

    Well

As a field service tech heading out to covid land, potentially bringing back something that could kill a family member.

You can have your truck and pay and go fix it yourself.

I don't care if I get sick, I am still employed and the non essential customers are trying to keep their business. But I can complain, no one pays me not to bitch and moan.

That's what management is paid more for.

    Rant over.

Ahhh I feel like Mike now.

    @floodedkiwi

First time I heard him must of been 20 years ago. I got moved to different job at work. I could the music the guy next to me was listening to. I went over and ask what he was listening to. That day I started listening to blues music. Greg would make me copies of blues CDs. He was real big into blues music. I went to see Bryan Lee with him in Milwaukee.
He was one of the best people I've ever worked with. He died while shoveling snow a few years ago. I still think of him when I hear the blues.

back home, tire is fixed and the camper is back on the truck. got it lined up perfect on the first try! *pats self on back*
my neighbor up the street is a truck driver and also teaches folks to drive and get their CDL's. he saw me come home and swing in the street to get the truck lined up. he hollered at me to see if i wanted a spotter. told him to give me a chance to try on my own first. i think i impressed the hell out of him that i got it done so quickly on my own!

I've become one of them !!!!!

Just like my neighbors I've been hanging out in my garage in the Evening sitting in my chair listening to my classic Rock music on my radio watching cars drive by or neighbors walking by getting their exercise in

    Lol, no.

I have been at this for 32 years, i have been on both sides, wouldn't want to go back to management. The field is more rewarding for me. This current situation is different then what we have had in the past.

Like I said, people don't realize the risks to my family. Money isn't worth the risk unless it is essential.

I don't know what job @floodedkiwi has and I didn't mean to lash out at him. It's purely related to my crappy industry.
