edit: nevermind. Washing weld as in washing off the weld with a torch. Or so I assume.

Sitting at a stoplight and saw this exhaust weld. Tough spot to get too

 

Looks like 6010 about 180 amps or more

 

If I show this picture to one of our techs .

It would give him lots of fun

Blowing through cut off wheels like it’s going out of style. I think I burned up these three in under an hour. I need a plasma cutter.

Thanks! The ones I have been using are normal dewalt type 27 discs. Ordered a 50 pack from Benchmark Abrasives yesterday.

I will give those a shot if I am unhappy with the BA ones.

 

You won't be disappointed with those, they're the bees knees. That's what I use. I bought a 50 pack of 4.5" and a 25 pack of 6" over a year ago and still have some. I know it's sketchy but I prefer the 6" for most things. The larger radius lends itself to almost double the surface area on the disc which means it lasts way longer than the 4.5. I burn through the 4.5s way too fast.

 

What are you cutting 1" plate.

Your not putting pressure on the wheel trying to make it cut better are you??

I can get a few weeks out of a disc my go to before any other cutting It seems to me they are all about the same then mine come from Welding Distributors

You know by end of week I’ll be fully operational, your cardboard cutouts could be sent over and done on computer then cut out.
