Oh regular cutouts. The only thing that bothered me about doing that, because I'd rather, was flow path. Really hard to make it direct on a small car, need loops and bends to make it fit

 

I need to get your advice for a new camera to take outdoor shots and videos. I've been using my cell phones forever. Do you use a GoPro or something that can be dash mounted or a regular sized cam?

 

Qtp makes mufflers with the cutouts built in.

You can get cutouts for straight pipe as well.

 

I definitely wouldn’t ask me. I got a mirrorless camera cause I felt like it’d take the abuse of running around the mountain better than a DSLR. I put the body and the lenses it came with in a chest pack used for binoculars. Other than being a bit hot this time of year it works fine.

 

GoPros are great but they're really a different role than a regular camera. I have one I use mostly for taking timelapses while I'm driving/riding.

For a regular camera, it kind of depends on your price range and whether or not you want to buy into a lens system. For SLR's/Mirrorless cameras, the lenses are the real expense and the big reason for getting one. But there are also some really great point and shoots out there.
