2004 prerunner stock gearing

what's the stock gear ratio on 2004 V6 Prerunner? dont have my truck right now so i can't go out and check. i'm thinking about re-gearing while my truck is in the shop.

I think I remember your truck was auto, so if yes stock is 4:10. 4:56 would be best with your tires. Unless you want more low end punch, going with 35's, or don't care for fwy driving then 4:88.

Yup, can't wait till I regear. Was first on my list but keeps getting pushed down.

 

i meant 4:88... it was a long weekend.

 

i was recently told that the 4 banger is 4.10 and the V6 is 3.73

best way is to check your door jam and pull the gear code and look it up...

 

4.88 might be a bit overgeared with 33s...

i seen a few 3.4s that kept spinning tires at 4.88

4.56 works just right for 33s

 

The stock gears are 4:10. which brand are you going with?
