I have a powerful magnet that I keep around to remove metal out of my eye. Doesn't seem to work with aluminum though...

Great, I was told yesterday to call the optometrist if it ever happens again. After what I experienced, that's the way to go...lmao. I will never say again "I'd rather have a stick in my eye"...lol

Funny story; I had to have a MRI on my shoulder, and this was after having some metal removed weeks before. Got into the donut and all I could think about is that metal flying out of my eye at 1,356,291 MPH......lmao...I started yelling "shut this shit down, I'm coming out"...Three hours later, with a little pill from the Doc, we got it done.

I have been really lucky only ever had to go to the Doctor one time.

After talking to the eye Doctor last visit ( on the to do list) She told me don`t mess around go to the ER the longer you wait the more damage may be caused .

I've had 3 MRI's, before each one I had to get my eyes x-rayed for metal because of what you mention.

One time I had a piece of metal in my eye and didn't know it until the next day when I got up, light hurt it very bad. Called Dr. and went in, was sitting in the waiting area and this lady looks at me after sitting a few minutes and says "I've been waiting for almost an hour for my eye exam, what are you here for?" I said, I have a piece of metal in my eye and it hurts bad. She didn't say anything else.

Another time, called the same Dr. office for the same problem and they said "we're full today but can get you in 2 days from now". I hung up, my wife talked to a friend at another eye Dr. I went there, they worked me in in less than an hour.

A few were from blowing chips off the milling machine, most came from grinding.

What brand or style of safety glasses/goggles do y’all wear when grinding/cutting?

I wear a pair called "nemesis" but everyone's face contour is different so you may have to try several different ones

I wear these and a face shield whenever I'm doing any cutting or grinding. If I don't have these on, then I have just regular clear glasses on and wear those while welding and just general work. Only a few bucks at home depot. They can fog up but I deal with it.

I use Jackson I buy them by the box.

Safety glasses are like Bra`s if they are uncomfortable they get removed at the wrong time.

Myself it more of being in the correct position having the guards on.

I never have a problem seeing if so I move till I can just like with welding

When it happens so often it is some evil weasel shooting the sparks at you

Those look like they're more for plasma and oxy torch cutting.

I ground the welds down on the outside of this chute and welded it on the inside. Had my buddy powdercoat it.

I know the CNC Mill is running doing machining on 3 axis`s !!!

I am bored at home today

I had to go to the Salt mine yesterday for expensive hand holding .

Then tell them that is a new feature!!!It will do that.

The differences between this Generation of Welding Machines and the last is massive even the same models.

The sad part the people in the shop never see the operators /Users manuals only a very few will take them time to download at home and study and think it works the same as the old machines.

When I remember I read through the newer machines
