Haha, it's not about taste, I have a reverse osmosis system for that. It about protecting the pipes and everything else connected to the water.

Our water hardness is so bad if you don't have it softened you have to take your shower head off once a month and soak it in CLR or it shoots in every direction.

To top it off agriculture downstream of our water treatment sued and won saying the processed/treated water contained too much sodium even though it was under national standards.
with that they banned water softeners. I kept mine until could not be fixed anymore. This was my solution.

    Local water hardness CAC03 Mg/L
SCV water report 2019 Newhall Hardness as CACO3 340

    We noticed o_O,

But being the Polite group of gentleman it was carefully left alone...

You went camping, left out early Friday evening and then had "Cheebe troubles"

This leads to no time to "shave your legs" :boink:

We all know you "clean-up" nice :p but can understand a "frumpy day":thumbsup:

Good morning everyone  Cat dealer has my cylinder head, hopefully back to the SHOP and installed for :burnrubber::burnrubber::burnrubber::burnrubber::burnrubber: next week.....

    Old Man back quiet :hattip:

Good catch. I plan on running a ground from the inlet to the house main. I just didn't have any pipe clamps large enough. No hurry since lightning isn't really a thing out here. Funny there was never one there to begin with.

    :woot:

we have security cameras at work - inside and out. as a joke the boss mounted a camera just out of reach and aimed at the work space of one guy. he's kinda lazy and i swear he has a hide-y hole somewhere that he sneaks to for naps mid day because he'll just up and disappear for hours on end. the camera wasn't hooked up but the guys reaction was priceless. he was sooo pissed. everytime someone mentions the cameras now he freaks out. hes afraid they will eventually mount one where he will be watched and he knows hes going to have to step it up and actually work

interesting...our water here is horrible too. shower is always a mess. washing the vehicles is a challenge as you can't let the water droplets dry on the car or they leave spots that dont come off. i have a habit of bringing a glass of water to bed and i got tired of having to scrub the white rings out of the glass because just sitting overnight and evaporating a tiny bit leaves a massive amount of residue. i have a plastic cup i use now. i'd be interested to know exactly where on that scale our water is at

no more chebby problems, hes all good now

im just leave the desk askew and working on the floor from now on. its just better this way

Your local water agency should have an online report. Water hardness is not a safety issue so is not required.

If not you can get test strips.
