I think it would be hard not to cringe every time I hit a pothole

that is one thing that’s nice about the truck. You just drive over shit and don’t think twice

I will very likely not run super expensive wheels. The roads in Davenport are fairly terrible. There isn't a lot of stuff out there that looks good that isn't real expensive for the car that look substantially nicer than stock. So, it will stay on stock wheels until I have everything else done.

As much as I'd like a fun car.... I'd keep the truck for the ruggedness and ability to drive through government bs/lack of road work

I love my truck, but we also have GX470. So we wouldn't be out of a capable vehicle.

When are you building your shop/shed/house combo?

I browse from time to time looking for one or a piece of ground I could put one on. I don’t care for a a fancy house, I just want parking space for the toys.

I’d be perfectly content with a pole building and a loft inside it

It's what I want as well. A place for my head... And 3 or 4 vehicles

Exactly. I don’t need 2000+ feet of living space. Give me a living room, office, kitchen, 2 bathrooms and a couple bedrooms.

so many houses these days are huge and I have no interest. I just want outdoor / shop space for activities.

I bought the family property and we are reno/updating a bunch. Putting a shop up has always been in the plans.
Already got plenty of house. Just need a place to park DP, the +TLady(Volvo 240), and the camper in the winter.
Also so I can be done working on the floor, at least some of the time.

I want parking space for 6-8 things inside which really isn’t that big in a pole building. Then 2 lifts. One is sufficient but 2 seems handy for some reason.

then loft the rest of it. Put an outdoor raised deck at the top on the finished end and I’d be set.

That was my thought as well, if I put an apartment in there I may never get my little brother to leave.

I want a shop real bad, but I'm reserving my opinions depending on where I end up on this next job move. I feel like I will never stop tuning stuff totally. Even though I've already slowed down a lot and will be tuning even less soon.
