Dodging thru the log jams that I could actually row thru took some skill. My arms and shoulders are smoked today!

A few years ago I bought a box of flies from a scout troop that the scouts had tied and sold as part of a fundraiser. Was that through here? I can't find any messages about it or in my emails.

PM between Gleason's landing and Bowman bridge, maybe about 3/4 the way to Bowman.

Great day on the water, no steelhead to report, but plenty of brookies.

Just have to figure out how to store the framing for transport. I have a decent bag for the pontoons, and accessories.

They preform a lot like a drift boat, light, affordable. A guy I fish with has one, loves it. He just hauls it in the bed of his pickup.

Fished with the guy that broke my G loomis again today. He showed up with a brand new St Croix 8’6 5 wt. (he asked which I preferred, I said I didn’t care g Loomis and st croix are both great). And he’s gonna pay a guy to fix my Loomis. So I’ll have my 9 ft and a 8’6 5 wt when he gets that back to me in a week or so.

I’ve got one I’ve used for a few years. They’re nice. Lately every time I’ve floated, the guy I’ve been with has a deal with NuCanoe and he’s been letting me use one of his Kayaks. Way easier to navigate. BUT...i paid $200 for my inflatable pontoon, the Yak is like $1200.

I fish out one like this a lot. Just air it down some and should fit right in the bed of your truck. Take you pump with you and air it up when you get there. Hell, I've even stacked 2 and strapped them down slightly deflated as well.

Before I had my tacoma, I would deflate the pontoons and put the frame on a roof rack (first an outback, then an accord). I had a pump that would hook to the battery and inflate each pontoon in a couple of minutes, something like the outcast hurricane pump. One thing to consider is maybe getting some short flippers (like this: https://www.outcastboats.com/accessories/outcast-fins.html)... much easier to position boat how you want (I never did this... but on so many floats, I always mentally said... I should get flippers, and then immediately forgot to ever get them).

I wondered if folks wore fins. I have some small ones I use with my float tube.

Spent Mother's Day morning on the lake, Kids and Wife fishing indicators and chronies out of the canoe.
I didn't get my new homemade rod wet, but we did catch everything on my own flies..
