It's been over two years and 33k miles later. I thought I would show how things have held up. I miss how it looked when it was first done but it has held up pretty well. Truck hasn't been washed in months and bumper is due to be redone. I'm thinking of Krylon Fusion but might go back with Rustoleum Bedliner again.

    Not much.
The inserts and grill seem to have held up well but hard to tell if it's dirty or worn down.

Bug guts are stubborn. Paint has held up well and not worn down at all. i'll try to post a pic next time I clean it up.

The clear I sprayed on the bumper is showing signs of peeling but the grill and inserts are doing great.

Nice, thanks for the quick response.

I'm out at sea right now so I can't go out to my truck and check, are the inserts removable without removing the entire bumper?

Happy to serve one that is serving. :) What ship are you on? I was on USS T Roosevelt '95-'97. Awesome experience.

I think you have to remove the bumper to get to the inserts. They bolt on from the bottom IIRC. Pulling the bumper is pretty easy though. Might take you 45-1hr the first time but then it will be like 20 min to remove after that.

Thanks brother, I appreciate that. It's good to know so I'm not wasting time when I go to start this. And thanks for your service, TR has been in the news quite a bit lately! I have a friend there right now that has been keeping me in the loop. I'm currently with USS BOXER as a CCA, one of 5 Marines that are ship's company. It's been interesting working with the Navy and a learning experience for sure.

Your welcome. Combatant Craft Assault? I don't know much about them but I bet they are amazing.

Maybe not as cool, although I worked a lot with Assault Craft Unit 5 (ACU-5) guys.

I might ask more questions but it should be easy, I'll send pics when complete.
