Does the J clip on the headrests go on the back side of the headrests or the front part of the headrests? it doesnt specify on the instructions.

I was watching their installation video but they dont really explain there either:

    Edit: is this normal?

I put the J hook on the back side but it looks like the headrests covers that they gave me are too short, I had to struggle alot more than in the video to get it to slide all the way down and it still doesnt close completely. Do the J hooks go on the back part of the headrests or the front?

Def not normal. I haven’t used Clazzios but I have installed probably dozens if not hundreds of custom seats and seat covers in my fathers upholstery shop. I would assume, that the j-hook folds in, then the opposite side is folded over and then slipped in.

(Edit; umm- at 1:26 in the video you posted, it is pretty clear. Not sure if it’s your attention span, or if you just got distracted. Pretty well laid out though.)

All this chatter lately made me finally order a set. Got the triple black that I've been wanting. I also got the Besond heated seat pads with switches from Amazon coming. Gonna be awesome!

Wish I was a fan of leather (before anyone says it- vinyl, pvc, or any variation of still counts) because they do look awesome. Clazzios and Katzkins are by far the best looking seats.

Thanks for the video, ill try to take off the headrests tomorrow and reinstalling it using the method in your video, hopefully it didnt rip on my first attempt or damage my headrests. I just didnt want to try to force it on too much in case I ripped the headrests cover thats why I decided to ask on this thread before I try to use more force. It felt like I was trying to squeeze a size XL (extra large) person into a size S (small) suit, I had to squeeze in the headrests several times to try to get the cover to slide down and in some of the pictures you can see just how tight of a fit it is.

Yeah I saw that part of the video that I posted (I actually rewinded it a few times to try to see what part of the cover the J hook goes on) but in that video the guy installing the headrests can open it alot more than the one that I received before trying to slide it over the headrests. On the one that I received I cant open it up that big so I had to try to keep pulling it down while trying to push in the cushion from the headrests to make it smaller and allow the Clazzio cover to slide over it.

If it’s too tight, you usually get clean look with hooking them together, much like the video but not sliding into the headrest. Think of interlocking your pointer fingers. J-hook side has the other side folded into it.

Did anyone take pics of installing the rear covers when putting the plastic backs over the covers? I cut mine covers and am struggling reattaching the plastic backing.

Im thinking of removing the back seats to install the covers on them easier when I get to that part of the installation, heres a good video that shows you how to remove the back seats:

Removing the seats super simple. I'm not sure it'd help me much. I'm stuck on getting plastic piece lined up properly for reassembly.

I think the back seat of the install is the easiest part.

Well I tried agian today to install the drivers seat headrest but unfortunately I was not successful :-( the video definitely helped though, this time around I was able to get the covers on alot faster using the method in the video. Here are some pics of what went wrong:

I sent Clazzio an email asking them what we can do to make things right.

Did you install them over the plastic or under? If over, then yes it's easy. Over, tell me your tips.

Don't worry about those wrinkles in the original cloth, it will never be seen. It' the super tight fit that gives these their OEM look, as opposed to other aftermarket covers that look loose and sloppy. And yes, I struggled with getting the J hook to latch. Not at easy for a first timer as the experienced guys in the video show.

Not exactly sure what you show as being a problem.... you think the wrinkles are what went wrong and that's a problem?

How wrinkled and worn do you think your cloth seats are going to look after years of use without the seat covers?

I cant seem to stretch it any more than what I showed on the pictures, the fabric on the cover is already getting stretch marks and it wouldnt even close up on the bottom with the cover fully on the oem headrests. In the videos that I saw it doesnt look as stretched as the cover that I received.

The wrinkles show just how tight of a fit the seat covers were that it crushed part of the oem headrest, I couldnt stretch them any further without risk of breaking the J hook on the cover. I understand that they are supposed to be tight but I dont think that their supposed to be so tight that it cant even close on the bottom.

Properly stretched it should look like this when installed, front of the headrest is facing the top of the pictures.15887050054474145468998142642485.jpg 15887050482831753404594428627660.jpg 15887051328207621431253307192728.jpg

Unless they changed the design from four years ago when I installed mine the J clip hooks from the back of the headrest.

You want it to fit tight and slightly compress the cushion.
