Sounds like society needs to accept that there are some folks who dont deserve to be above ground.

    https://www.yahoo.com/news/police-woman-wanted-close-alligator-182649539.html

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. (AP) -- A woman killed by an alligator at a South Carolina pond told a friend she wanted to get close to the animal and didn't scream as it attacked her and dragged her into the water, according to a police report.

Cynthia Covert, 58, died in the attack Friday afternoon on Kiawah Island, Charleston County deputies said.

A deputy had to shoot and kill the alligator to get Covert away from the animal, according to the police report released Monday.

The woman Covert was staying with said she didn't seem herself Friday and walked toward the alligator, which lunged and grabbed her in its mouth when she was about 4 feet (1.2 meters) away, deputies said.

Covert, of Johns Island, made no sound as the alligator pulled her under, the woman told police.

The woman's husband and another man tried beating the alligator with shovels, but the animal swam deeper, the police report said.

When deputies arrived, the alligator kept surfacing with Covert and going under. One officer was able to shoot the animal as it surfaced again, police said.

Firefighters used poles to get Covert out of the pond but she died at the hospital, authorities said.

An autopsy Monday found Covert died of drowning, the Charleston County Coroner's Office said.

Sounds like suicide to me and they punished the alligator for it. Shouldve atleast let it enjoy its last meal.

They should not be called "contractors". They should be called mercenaries or better yet, complete morons. Seriously how can you fuck up this badly... right Florida Man. $50,000 doesn't overthrow governments so I bet this was a disgraceful private affair. Governments usually finance their covert ops and aren't infiltrated by the Venezuela and Cuban intelligence service to the point were they are paying the mercs' to come meet them to get intel. Nice going assholes, now we have an international incident.

U.S. backed the dude claimed? It’s possible, I mean there was the Bay of Pigs, however I doubt this one had any backing. Seems like some want to be Blackwater types that thought they were biggest bad asses then they actually are.

Unless they were ex delta, regular military isn’t trained to overthrow governments. It only said “veterans“ as far as I caught. Probably mechanics and pac clerks that were upset by their rolls down range.

3 Marines Tackle, Subdue Threatening Passenger on Long-Haul Flight
    Hope Hodge Seck
    Military.comMay 5, 2020, 10:06 AM PDT
Marines who sprang into action to restrain a hostile and disruptive fellow passenger are now being recognized by their unit commanding officer for their bravery and quick thinking.

The incident happened Monday on a flight from Tokyo to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport in Texas. The three North Carolina-based Marines, all assigned to 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, were Capt. Daniel Kult, Sgt. John Dietrick and Pfc. Alexander Meinhardt. They had been traveling back to the U.S. for various reasons, about halfway through a six-month Unit Deployment Program pump in Okinawa.
During the flight, according to a Marine Corps news release, a passenger barricaded himself inside one of the plane's bathrooms and loudly began to make what officials described as threatening comments.
"While watching a movie during my flight from Japan to Texas, I started to hear screaming coming from the restroom on board," Dietrick, an infantry assault section leader from Mechanicsville, Virginia, said in a statement. "When I took off my headphones, I heard a man sounding very distraught and screaming from the bathroom."

The Marines then moved quickly, according to the release. While a flight attendant got the door unlocked, the three men grabbed the passenger and used flex ties to bind him. They took him back to a seat and stayed with him to make sure he remained restrained for the rest of the flight.
Kult, an infantry officer from Coons Rapids, Iowa, credited the Marines' quick, decisive actions to their training.
"We just assessed the situation and acted," he said. "Working with the flight crew, we got the door open and from there worked together to subdue him. We didn't take time to talk it over. We just got ready and did what we needed to help."

I learned fast not to trust “contractor types.” Allot of WTF with so many of them. Hire any gun crazy kooks that were sorta in physical shape but heaps of screws loose. Run around lawless and in their wake G.I.s caught all the hate that they’d stir up.

One boasted that he was a mall cop before he took the job. Was absolutely in love with himself and a genuine gear-do that you could tell would shoot you if he reckoned he’d get away with it. The whole company was like that and it got to a point that we refused to work with them.

A few additions to make me feel cool.
So the Capt said "we should do something" the Sgt pushed him out of the way and actually did it and the PFC was like "oh shit, hey I am a Marine too". That's how that went down.

    We came across the “contractors” down range too many times. Two specific times comes to mind;

The “Iraq counter-IED advisor team.” They were sent from whatever 3 star command was in charge of northern Iraq at the time. Half of them claimed to be ex delta. They planned to go for a couple route clearance missions with us, one day and one night. The buffalo took a hit with two 122 shells, lifted the back and blew a tire. During the down time between missions, the crew fixed the buffalo. The “advisors” never showed up for the night mission and we never seen them again. Apparently getting hit at least once every mission (2003) was too much for them when the realized we weren’t exaggerating. Too bad they weren’t there for the time a mortar hit the buffalo hatch.

Other time, we hear gun fire down one of our routes just after we went through. We turned around and picked up speed. With at least one platoon in the city (Mosul) at almost any hour, we were used and responded as QRF so not just trying to be cool and jump in a fight. Anyways, when we got there, it was a bunch of contractors huddling behind their suburbans. No one returning fire, no IED or RPGs had gone off, it was only small arms fire. They still hid and acted how you would expect a bunch of fobbits to act. Not sure what “merc company” they were with and we didn’t care. Basically told them they were rescued and could get back on the road now. They declined an escort, think we hurt their ego pretty good.

    Fucking hate “contractors” too.
