@Dex__43 check out what goes in to this install. I ordered the hangers and will be ordering some deavers tomorrow. You have helped me with all the bigger stuff on my truck so far, so why not this too? I'll have my OME dakars coming off and will need a new home :boink:.

I could do it myself, but it'll go more than 2x as fast with your help. Trying to mitigate time away from the kiddos and wife.

Just an FYI, I did not have to trim my RXT springs to fit the shackles, mine were already trimmed like the first above photo.

Had my Hangers and Shackles installed today by Ryan better known as ShmellFab. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...acks-hi-lift-mounts-cb-antenna-mounts.374697/
I had him custom make me a custom cross bar (with no notice ) out of square tube just to be different and its stronger! So anyone looking for custom sliders or a custom cross bar and other items he custom makes i recommend you give Ryan a PM. Socal area.

My 2cents on the install... I used a single 4.5" cut off disc to remove the rivets heads and grind them flush to the hanger. I did not cut the hangers in half and that turned out to be a good thing, as I was hitting the hanger on the shackle mount with a 3lb hammer to get it to come off the frame. 3-5 hits is all it took. Once the hanger was removed I used a 40 grit flap disc to grind the rivets flush to the frame and also removed the rust on the frame. Grinding the rivets flat to the frame is a big time saver for drilling later on. Be sure to paint bare metal. I probably only spent 10 mins per side drilling out the top rivets. I have some Milwaukee cobalt drill bits from Home Depot, they went through the rivets easily. The top frame rivets only go through the frame so drilling is easy here. You only need to drill a little bit to go thought the thickness of the frame. For the bottom rivets, go to the local parts store and pick up a loaner ball joint press. The bottom rivets go through the frame, a cross brace and a welded on washer. The press made quick work of the bottom rivets. I think this is definitely the way to go for the bottom rivets. It would have sucked to have drilled these out.

    All the things!
I think a lot of people, me included, don't want to grind on the rivets, once the hanger is removed, in fear of removing material from the frame. I'm sure this is overly neurotic and as long as you "try" to avoid grinding the frame, you'll be fine.

Great job! Glad your install went smoothly.

X the heads and use an air chisel to knock them off and the air punch to knock the side ones out.
