Looks like a 100XR based on the rear window latch mechanism. It does appear to be in really rough shape, but if you could snag it for $350, I think it'd be a good deal. I wouldn't be interested it giving over $500 for it, but I don't have any hookups at any bodyshops. If I had someone that could repair/repaint for cheap or if I was skilled enough to do it myself, I may even offer a bit more.

Leer 100XR, Thule rails & crossbars, grey carpeted interior, front removable slider, sliding windows on both sides, got the pet screens but removed them & the insect screens so doggo can stick his head out.
Really nice cap but not sure it's worth the $3k I paid.

The paint is falling off the aluminum. My buddy who owns the powdercoat place is taking care of the aluminum, I’m going to sand and spray the plastic pieces. Should look as good as new in a month or two, he has to send the aluminum out to be stripped.

I'd low ball them with $200 or so. The paint job alone is probably gonna be close to $700+ to do it right. Plus replacing the window, getting new latches/keys, and then the cleaning of it. Especially if they've drug it around on the concrete and gouged the top. You can't just haul it off to the car wash to clean the inside unless you have a trailer it'll fit on. So any cleaning elsewise is going to be a PITA at your house leaving a mess. Use all that as leverage and meet them in the middle somewhere north of $200 but well south of $1000 that you feel comfortable with.

Just messaged this morning while waiting for a few more pictures. I told him essentially all of the above and offered between 200-300. He said he was thinking more in the 400-500 range so hopefully after some more pictures I can land around 350-400. I am hoping it has the roof channels for mounting a rack and that its been resting partially on those. Plus with plans to mount a RTT to it I wont see any scratches after its repainted. I was reading Maaco does a ok job of painting for around $300 and hoping the paint shop I normally use which does good work is between 300-400. The tough part about that type of window is I don't think I can get a glass shop to replace it like if it were a solid sliding one so leer will charge probably 300 for it. Hoping to be around $350 for the topper + $400 for paint + $300 for glass and get a topper that retails for 2k+ for around $1,100.00.

Do you guys have an easy way of testing the electronics and any other thoughts on what I should be on the lookout for? One thing that is partially in my favor is the climate here is very dry so hopefully that means the carpet isn't moldy and the wiring is alright.

Sounds like you’ve got a good plan. I wouldn’t be worried about roof scratches either. Just use that as leverage in the deal. If you’ve got an ATV or lawn mower battery you could take it and test the light and stuff with it. With it needed some attention as soon as you get it it would be a good time to rewire it. Add some additional lighting and wiring to it. Maybe some BlueSea 12v plug and some USB plugs.

I got a price on getting my shell painted yesterday by a reputable guy, he said $400, I only gave $350 for the shell and it's in great shape.

Looks good actually. Think you could get a large enough sheet of plexiglass or possibly lexan from Lowes then cut it to fit? And install? Remember to use a good solid string/twine to pull the grommet around the window if you attempt it.

Hey Tacos and Burritos. I've got a MX on order and was thinking about getting a yakima windshield. Are you running yakima bars? Could you measure between the towers so I could find out the size windshield I would need? Would love to have it before picking up the cap.

Anyone out there with a MX canopy with yakima cross bars that could do me a favor? I'm trying to get the fit for a windshield before my cap arrives in 3 weeks. I need the distance between the towers to size the windshield.

I have a Snugtop Rebel, don’t know if it would work. My tracks are 37” to center, my bars are about 50”, hope this helps.

i was paging threw this thread and wasn't able to find anything on it but also don't have time to go threw all 400 pages. Does anyone have a good way to carpet a topper that isn't already? I bought the carpet for it already but wasn't sure on what kind of adhesive to use on it. I was looking for a wright up but cant find one.

You are never going to make it look good unless you pull all the windows out. This is done at the factory before the windows go in. 3M spray adhesive works well, get the heavy duty stuff. Best of luck.
