Tire ratings list.Is this accurate? from tire rack.com

Boy the opinions are are always out there...........huh?

Well,I bought a set of Michelin LTX A/T 2 before I saw this list.
Yes, there not the greatest AT's in the world but this site rates them ABOVE BF Goodrich AT's in may factors and I find that hard to believe.

As a previous owner of BF AT's this list cant be accurate but I have not taken my Michelin"s off road or in snow yet.......

What do you think people of this info?

Which ratings do you think are inaccurate? None of them rate the tires for off-road performance, where the BFG A/T shines. These are consumer reviews, most of which probably never see anything beyond a dirt road so the ratings make sense. On pavement, the Michelin's are a much better tire and the ratings here reflect that. Off road, mud or uncut trails, I'd much rather have something like the BFG A/T.

 

It all depends on what you are doing with your truck ???
If you are like most of the guys and barely see a trail ,,,, then you made a very good choice.

 

Pretty interesting survey I have the Firestone Destination AT a #1 ranked in this list and was going to get the Michelin AT2 they are neck in neck on all performance levels based on this report. Only difference is the Destinations are $148 per tire and the Michelin AT2 go $185-$200 a tire? I was going to eventually get the AT2 now I wonder,plus Ive got 70K miles on my Destination ATs and are going strong still yet,just rotate when ever I can 7-9K miles I cant kill them,they are humming a bit more tho.

 

having had both BFG AT and the LX AT on my Taco, i have to say the BFG outperformed the LX. I do not like the LX in the snow one bit. I do not feel they have great traction. All other aspects tough the LX are nice and quiet smooth on the road and seem to wear better than the BFGs do. The BFGs seemed to wear much quicker

 

Firestone Destinations AT have B+ Snow traction in my opinion,excellent wet and dry also,I must say a good all around tire for the price,only the high speed highway handling above say 70 mph they feel a little clumsy but they are an AT not All-season tire.

 

I agree with the BFG outperforming the AT2 on snow and OR but not by much. I have the AT2 on my 4Runner and love them. When I finally wear out my original equipment POJ All-Trails I will strongly consider the LX AT2. So far I haven't done any serious off off-roading and Utah does an excellent job in clearing snow off roads at least where I live. The AT2's have performed and lasted great.

 

The traction rating I think might be a bit over stated or inaccurrate

Yeah, I would like to see data on off road surfaces.
