So I returned the pump and exchanged it for one that is ethanol compatible. No plans yet for ethanol, just 91, but at least the pump will be good and done.

 

China, plus what you said, make this possible. A flex coupling should be added in if there isn't one.

A support of some sort, since that is tubing and not stainless schedule pipe, is also a must.

Maybe if it were 321 stainless, or inconel 625, it may hold its own. 304 though, will crack, with enough heat cycles and weight, over a fulcrum.

Now if there were a person to heat treat and temper the header, like armor and swords of old, you'd not ever have that problem.

 

Those welds looked well done, not done well, well done. Over cooked.

 

After running the manifold for a few months i am not impressed lol ( from china those mothertruckas got me again). The manifold is damn near shot. That was the worst crack not the only crack.

I went to a couple fab shops that build manifolds and most say they done work on trucks which i thought was unusual due to me telling them i need an exact or close to replica with the manifold in my hand. One guy told me a thousand and i did an about face and walked out.
So this is where i am. Tread stone makes a kit for the 95-04 tacos diy weld kit. Debating trying to make it fit.
I agree with a bunch of these guys on a static mount with no flex or vibration compensator.
I am no means a gas turbo guy, but i have changed enough up pipes on duramax's and powerstrokes to know i dont like flex pipes.
The one manifold i rarely have to fix is a cummins manifold. The log style is a stong setup.

Yeah i have a tig and mig, shit nothing wrong with mig if it works. I just look at the weight of the turbo suspended and the bullshittery i do to the truck and im suprised that manifold lasted that long
