What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

I got mine done for $300 however all of the places around me refused to take the wheels unless I took the tires off myself

 

just got rid of the chrome grill surround.

I just did mine, routed it up behind the tail light. I dunno, maybe I can help with advice, I have an SR5.

This is my installed splashguard. I used some longer plastic clips due to the added thickness of the rubber since the OEM clips were a little short for my liking.
3.0 mm rubber mat from Home Depot

 

Did you make your own template for the extended rubber inserts or did someone provide a template? Guess I should have looked at the link you provided already. Doing that now.

Designed these and my wife cut them out. The bubbles that appeared the next day (warmer temps) worked themselves out.

Next up: Sunglare reduction in matte black.



EDIT: Hood stripes getting cut in paper today to check fitment. Hopefully we get some vynil on today!!

 

I finally got around to finishing the 3m 2080 vinyl around my headlights. Took a bit to settle on a design to make it look good to me ...but I like it. I've had the hood done for about 2 years and it has really helped with rock chips with all the driving I do ( coming up on 100k ) . Gotta get that grill changed now .

 

It is the ARE DCU. Love it.

 

Is it the same template for both sides up front?

same template for both sides, just one side of the template needs to be trimmed to accommodate a electrical loom of some sort on the 3rd gens

 

It was just aluminum. I spray painted it with 3 coats self etching primer, two coats Rust-Oleum bed liner, and one coat semi gloss. Before the semi gloss it didn't quite match. Afterwards, matched perfect.

Used the 20% at Mountain Hatch . Kind of an impulse buy....

 

I bought them on Ebay. Same material as the the tailgate inserts with adhesive.

 

Yup. I thought I'd give it a shot. If I get sick of it I can just pull it off.

 

Yup. Just flip it over if your material has a particular side you want facing out, otherwise identical.
