First time poster here so be gentle.

So recently bought a new grill for my 2019 Taco and I went with the Taco Vinyl Raptor Grille 2.0 with the led side lights. I'm fairly inexperienced in this sort of stuff but after watching the YouTube video posted on the sellers page it seems simple enough. Only after starting to install my grill I notice the video is a 2016 Tacoma and the wires into the blinker and Drl don't exactly match up with what's under my hood.

So in short I'm just looking for some help figuring out what the wires running into the back of both of my lights are so I correctly splice them. I have tried my best to find it simply by googling but I've come up short.
So if someone can shoot me pic with some labels for this rookie I would greatly appreciate it.

I’d just get an add a fuse and run it to the fuse box. I don’t like cutting up factory wiring

Get yourself a little test light and figure it out the old fashioned way

Welcome to the forum from Eastern North Carolina!

The SR and SR5 trim levels DRL are different from all of the other trim levels. Short version: the front turn signals do double duty - they also serve as DRL. I can't tell you how to accomplish what you want to do. Just be aware of the trim level differences when people start telling you how to do it.

    Good luck with it!

Hey thanks! I didn't even think about that. Ok that makes alot more sense. Also as someone said above I'll grab my testers and check that as well. You guys are great! Knew I'd get some help here.

Welcome to TW. Do a search for electrical stuff and prepare for DAYS of reading. There have been as many screw-ups as there have been successes when it comes to electrical on these trucks. Simply: They don't like it!!

So I got it all hooked up with a friend's help. Not sure it's completely correct but everything comes on correctly.

The only thing that is off is when first turning the led lights on in the grill the driver side hesitates for a second. But I think this is just because we hooked it up to the raptor lights for power. So maybe the amps are not quite high enough at first. I really don't understand electrical so I cant speak to much on it.

But my TSS sensor keeps telling me it needs to be cleaned. So gotta figure that out, already tried cleaning the plexiglass with glass cleaner doesn't seem to help.

Metal bracket that's attached to the grill. With a piece of Plexi glass in the front. Can shoot you a pic if needed.

So I followed that video but it's a 2016 so the wiring isn't the same.

I installed grill lights on my sr and tried to add a circuit into the fuse box into the drl fuse but the sr and sr5 tacomas don’t have a drl fuse so I ended adding a fuse into the injectors. I did consider tapping into the power wire of my drl bulb socket but didn’t want to use an alligator clip.

So I just installed raptor lights last weekend, I wanted to run them with the "marker" light setting. So I ran the positive wire through the fire wall and used an add a fuse in the "tail light" fuse location. So it comes on when I go one up from the DRL option and stays on with the headlights.
