A few of y'all ride the Trek Roscoe. Market value stock 2020 Trek Roscoe 7. About $1000? Am I in the ballpark?

 

That’s not a bad price. I got my sons for $1100 new. It’s all entry level components but well equipped for its price. (Air fork, dropper, 1x12). Are You selling it? If so you know putting it for sale under the 1k mark will sell it faster. Even if it is just $950.

 

$1100 brand new?? for the roscoe 7?

 

I think it's these newer trucks with the thick tailgate caps. Bikes stay put on older trucks, like the 2nd gen taco, but any truck with that real fat tailgate cap causes trouble with hanging bikes. I've seen the same issue on newer F150s.

Yep, I had a rental F-150 that was a nightmare in that regard.

A note on the bicycle blue book website. That site is total bullshit and it makes no sense when you start playing with the years and conditions of the same bike. The values seem to take a 50% nose dive after one year for high end bikes and trade-in value is usually $1k less than that. This website is in the business of undervaluing bikes so you just trade them in to one of their affiliated bike shops so they can turn a profit. I did this a few years ago and it was a good deal to not hassle with shipping and craigslist idiots but those numbers have shifted not in favor of the consumer.

 

It's a buyer market right now, on bikes and everything else. So you can't expect top dollar.

I guess I don't know what NC specifically is like, but the wife does real estate business all across the country. Apparently houses are selling in less than 48 hours in most places. It's probably due to severely limited supply.
