Hi All. New to the site. I am running a 2015 Tacoma 4 cylinder currently all stock. I live in it in the summers in Montana and find, after 2 seasons, engine loses considerable power at altitude (5000 ft+ above sea level). Will turbo charging help the issue or are there any other solutions? Thanks.

Turbos were invented just for that purpose on planes.

You loose 3% of your power every 1000ft above sealevel. Aint nothing you can do about that. A turbo will help, but will it be worth it, likely not.

If sticking with a Tacoma, I'd consider picking up the V6 and supercharging it since there's already a kit out.
I'm sure a re-gear would help, but then it'd be more aggressive all the time.
