I'm trying to get educated on what I need to do to install since the whole product page has changed since I bought my tune in just March of this year. Haven't had a chance to install on my MT until now with all this down time, so I'm excited to get it flashed with the tune. But looks like it's not ready to go for MT ECUs based on posts in here. When I bought the tune the product page said it's good to go for both AT and MT, so I'm just confused.

In other threads some people are having to flash their ECU at the dealer before installing the tune, some are having to mail back dongles, posts from a few days ago saying MT update should be released by Matt in the next few days and it won't work until then. It's a ton of info, and the instructions on their site help a bit, but these several hundred page threads are a bit much to wade through to get informed on how to use the product and find the actual most up to date info. So I think it would be helpful if OP updated the 1st post in the thread with info that isn't from 10/2017, rather than telling people to "stop emailing so much like it's the end of the world". Update the post and people will settle down and feel in the loop.

If you bought the old flash kit, you can go ahead and tune now.

People sending in dongles are from way long ago, they're basically trading an older setup for the new software.

The new VFtuner software is out, but not for MTs, which is why that might look confusing.

With a 2020, you shouldn’t need to update anything. It’s the older trucks that are updating.

the 2.0 files should be available in flash manager. Just download and grab the tunes you want. If you haven’t already, you’ll need to get a reg key before you can actually flash.

outside of that, most of the talk has been about vf tuner which is the new product which allows people to create and modify tunes.

    You're good to go, almost.

    Uninstall FM.
Get the new version of FM from ovtuned.com
    Install FM.
    Reinstall your REG file.
Download 2.0 tunes from the new version of FM.

I'm so stoked to add this to my truck this weekend before I head out on my first big road trip. Having more response in the 2-3k RPM range has to be a gamechanger for highway driving.

It's a game changer driving around the neighborhood or city streets or off road. And yeah, it is killer on the highway also.

Having a little smoother pull from zero throttle in second gear will be the biggest improvement. You know... for continuing rolling after slowing down. ;)

Any extra oomph in the 67-75 mph range for long drives will be icing on the cake. :fingerscrossed:

You can pull away in 2nd from idle. No problem. I do it all the time.

You will get your icing also.

Then, you'll accidentally step in it when you see 7k in 1st gear by accident. LoL!

There's something oddly endearing about revving the heck outta these trucks. In spite of all the complaints about the 3.5, it definitely "likes revving" a lot more than the 4.0. No doubt the 4.0 has better truck-style torque, but the 3.5 is just so smooth and combined with an MT almost lets me relive my hot hatch days.

Definitely. The shifting feels so right and never brushing the limiter any more is worth the price.

Exactly. But, a taste of 2.0 SFOB will have you forgetting about the 4.0l's bottom end.
