I think about the only thing cooler might have been if you could have got the wood from JD barrels. Even then this is pretty slick.

 

Saw this on another site. Someone said they rout out grooves in barrels used for the Frank Sinatra JD to expose more wood to the whiskey. Not sure if it's true but I figured you guys would like like this (if you already didn't know).

 

I had read that they did that but that's not what I pictured in my head when I thought about it... That's pretty awesome! Thanks for sharing
