Icon Dynamics Stage # Lift Thread

Came from 5100's x4

So far Icon 2.0 in the back and night and day difference.
Looking for some 2.0's with coils for the front if anyone's got any used around or know of some decent places to shop for some.

 

Op Here! Finally replacing my front Icon Struts from the stage 2. Fed up with 2 leaking passenger side struts in 3 - 4 years.
Going with the OME - 51. Loved the ride of the Icons, but don’t want to replace or rebuild every 2 to 3 years. Leaking from bottom seal. Obviously out of warranty both times.

Running OME - 51 struts in the front and Icon in the rear for now due to Financial reasons. We will see how it goes. Heard good things about OME.

 

Perhaps I go with 6112's I front then due to maintenance rears are easy. Thanks for opinion^

 

you can have mine for a small fee but u would have to rebuild the passenger side due to the leak lol.

How are you liking those BP-51s? I thought about running them, but my research landed my with Icons.

I've had it on for awhile now and love them.

Question, were you offroading much? Did you reach out to them? Also, do you have pictures of your truck?

I enjoyed the icons but tired of having them leak after only 2 years and barely abuse

 

Trust me, I fell in love in with the Icons. I created this thread for that reason. But after two years, my passenger side front strut started to leak on the bottom seal. I took it back to the shop who installed and then contacted Icon. They told me that I was out of warranty but could work a deal with me. So I paid the money and got it replaced.

Two years later, here we stand again on the same side failing. I’m sorry but I’m done replacing every two years or so.

I’m 90 percent On Road and 10 percent Offroad. So it retrospect, I feel it should of lasted longer. I did not reach out to them this time. My truck is my DD.

As far as the BP - 51s, so far so good. They are just on my front. I’m still running the Icons in the rear right now due to financial reasons. The adjustability is awesome on the BP - 51s.

What a bummer you had a bad experience!

Those BP-51's are not only a different brand but quite an upgrade to the stage 2 Icon coilovers. That's more in line with the higher end Icon setups.

I hope mine do better than 2 years. It makes me wonder if it was a fluke or what, being that it was only your passenger side makes it a little weird. I would have fought someone. Lol when you pay thousand for suspension you expect quality.

Anyway! Good luck with the new legs. Hope they workout better.
