Maybe they keep moving the date back.

When I first stared looking for my Tacoma in late March, one of the bigger dealers in my area had 84 Tacomas listed. Out of curiosity I looked today and they are now down to 22. Out of that 22, four are TRD ORs and two are TRD Sports. The rest are SR/SR5s and Access cabs. I almost pulled the trigger on a TRD Sport this dealer had during the first week of April. At the time the sales manager informed me they weren't expecting any new trucks until June. Two other dealers I was negotiating with also told me they weren't expecting any new Tacomas any time soon. I assumed they were all BS'ing me to get me to pull the trigger quick on their truck, but they appear to have been right in hindsight.

    No problem and good luck!

I've spent months in my area (Baltimore/DC Metro) with a spreadsheet of all the new trucks that had the options I wanted, watching the savings account creeping up and the monthly creep down. Then the trucks just started disappearing fast and I decided to go used. The lovely bride said no way on a TRD Pro in Army Green for $50K. I'll post to intros once I pick up my 2018 shortly.

As an oldish dude I will say to all the young folks that if you can afford it and you get what you want, take care of it and keep it. You'll miss it when you're rolling around in a minivan. Toyota and Tacoma specifically is money in the bank.

I was told this by a dealer, albeit, the guy did seem genuinely very nice, but take it for what it’s worth, he said that production was going to be running at half speed when they do open up. So production numbers that previously took two weeks will now take a month. It would make sense to do this so the supply is not flooded and they don’t have to either give them away or keep them sitting on lots which costs the dealers money. But who knows...

It seems like everybody on this thread right now is looking for a cement. They said today that my Cement OR 4x4 won’t be here until late June. Granted I also required that it had no options and the black interior with the orange stitching.

The SRs/5s might be the way to go currently for those who don’t want to wait and like saving $4000. Especially since they all have Apple CarPlay. I didn’t even realize it but in 16 when I bought my SR5, it had a much crappier version of Entune

    Awesome!
Congrats on the truck you're soon to get.

    When did you order it?

    I'm considering a factory order.

The local dealership had a truck lined up that was going to be transferred from another dealer. That truck sold before it got picked up. They made it sound like an OR without many additional features or packages is getting harder to find. This is at a little dealership. He mentioned once 0% was offered they sold through half the Tacoma’s on the lot, granted that’s only 5-6 trucks. Only TRD sports or sr/sr5. And one OR short bed. There are a couple of trucks on order but not expecting delivery until August. Salesman said they cut production by 3,000. I’m in CA by the way. And just sharing what the salesman mentioned to me, no idea how accurate it all is.

I’m in the market for a TRD DCLB silver sky with minimal add ons. The next closest dealership offered invoice price and then I plan to use the $1750 back.

    TRD OR DCLB
Tech package, all weather mats and mudguards
    Silver sky/cement interior

    MSRP 39,842
    Invoice 37,601
    - 1750
    Final price 35,851

Looking at other deals in the thread it’s not a screaming deal but doesn’t seem to bad to me? Prob going go for it, it’s the exact truck I’m looking for.

This is with the $1750 rebate. I tried hard for dealer to give both rebate and the 0% . Lol
After trying to get both incentive with 3 to 4 different dealers, in which all dealers told me a hard no in regards to double dipping the incentives. I eventually went with the rebate. In the long run the final dollar amount comes out to be the same give or take a couple bucks. I get a loan from Bank of America for 2.34%~ for 60 months.

Thanks! They “ordered” it A week ago. I put it in parentheses because when they say order, they just have to find one that is in the queue to be made with the specs u want. In a way, around here in SET, ordering it saves you about $1000 because almost every truck gets Port options of paint protection film for $600 and Toyoguard for another $400. I will be ceramic coating it as soon as I get it. So don’t need the grossly overpriced protective film.

How’s everyone who has bought one recently done on their trade ins? I’ll be mainly relying on the equity of my trade plus maybe $500-$1000 down and I am scared I’m going to get lowballed due to everything going on. Also I’m new to the Toyota world being a Ford guy and all-has Toyota ever offered 0% 72 month? Is that a real possibility in the coming months?

This is the depositworthy deal I came to for my base Cement OR 4x4. (Rebate in the discount, lol). Window tint has value($180) because I am going to get that done immediately anyway and it is being done by a reputable local tint shop. I’m going to decline the pinstriping but it will still be included in the price. Current vg kbb trade value is 23,300/26,200 private(was 24k 3 weeks ago). (Btw, we sold my wife’s Camry last year via private party. After two months, got $1200 less than kbb. People crying, offering you $3000 less, insisting that it’s only worth the lower end of the good spectrum KBB, etc. What a headache)
So depending upon how you look at this due to the high trade value/(trade value at time of offer), given which we don’t have a lot of data on this thread about trade value, the range is 8.3%(PP)-16.3%(TV)
I do like to tell myself that I paid 28,600 for my truck 4 years ago and got 27000 on the trade.

Ha, i’ve been wondering the same thing about trade values. My post right after yours likely won’t help you at all with that question. A different dealer for example offered 15% of the new vehicle right off the rip but wouldn’t go above $1800 below Kelly blue book trade-in value for my truck.

I'm seriously considering going this route.
If you can wait, I feel this is a good option, considering the amount of vehicles available.
