    Morning all:
Watch out for these Mark, giant Asian hornet. Don't know if you already know about them, but it's "ANOTHER" invasive species that will wipe out bee hives in no time.
Seems like they are only out in the Northwest for now, but probably just a matter of time before they make it here, this is one big a** hornet at 1/12-2" long!
The list of invasive species just keeps getting longer and longer! :(

 Hey folks! Beautiful day here, completely and utterly mis-forecast by the weather idiots. I looked at weather radar and thought they were nuts so I started washing cars. Got two done and called it quits! Took one of them (convertible) out for a great relaxing drive, picked up blueberries for my parents, and delivered them.

For the first time in weeks and weeks, I actually got to lay eyes on them. Their facility has lifted the quarantine-in-your-apartment restriction, and they both made the trip down to the front door to see me. We stayed far apart, I was wearing a mask, I think we were fine in terms of safety. But there they were, standing in front of me! It felt strange and wonderful. I never would have thought that just being able to lay eyes on my parents would be such a fantastic thing.

Life's little pleasures - it's amazing how much we can appreciate just being within 6 feet of someone.

Yesterday was gorgeous here, too. I cut the grass again and got some other small projects done around the farm. Wish the pool was open!!

Enjoy the day...and May the 4th Be With You.

Speaking of turkey our neighbor found one dead in her yard yesterday. She donned gloves and mask and hauled the poor bird into the deep woods. Can’t say I blame her.

    Strange times indeed. Stay safe.

Good morning, all! Yup, looks like we are in this for the long haul. Hopefully, I'll be able to enjoy the summer sitting by the pool and social distancing that way.

    Be safe out there!!

Think people are starting to smarten up and realize that it's going to be years, not months, before we can resemble anything close to our old normal

Hi folks, have there been any Duane sightings yet? I think he only had a 7 day ban. Hope he didn't get a bug up his arse and quit.

I too have been looking for him to post. I know his ban time has passed. I think he’s just pissed. I really don’t blame him. I think what he said was said in passing and was not intended to be a blatant political statement. I doubt he thought it was. I think maybe a warning would have been more appropriate but I’m not a mod so my opinion counts for zero. Anyway I hope he comes back, I always looked forward to his posts.

    Evening all:
Agree Mike, if this becomes a seasonal issue like the flu, and they don't come up with a vaccine, they just can't just keep shutting the country down.
Also, what if it's not seasonal, they don't know for sure, that would change the whole scenario.
Maybe they will do like when I lived under socialism, everyone got free room and board, free dental, free medical, 4 wks. pd. vacation, and they even gave us some pocket money, all I needed to do was wear a uniform, follow orders, and run boats!

Duane, don't leave us now, enjoy reading your posts!

:woot: We got 3 more walleye last night, getting lazy and not taking pics.!
Think I mentioned this before, there is a scallop on the cheek that we cut out, then my buddies GF makes a NE type clam chowder using them instead of clams, absolutely delicious! Between the walleye he got ice fishing, and the ones we are catching now, we have enough for her to make some chowder. :hungry:
As usual, we had to do the hard work, she gets to do the easy part! :D

    Hi Sue!

Congrats, Carl!! At least somebody is having fun out there!!

I, too, am hoping Duane is just out camping and will be back. He's a good person.

Our pool is now open if anyone wants to drop by for a swim. 32F here this morning...and the water is still a little green...but it will certainly be invigorating. At least we can get the water cleaned up for when it finally gets warm...maybe in August.

    Be safe out there!!

Good Morning Folks. Sounds like the social distancing Gods are with you fishing Carl. Loading the freezer up is a good thing. Just be Safe.
Pool being open is good news Mark even if they are calling for snow flurries this weekend . Just can't get a grip on snow in May . Have a good day all and be Safe.
