@tacoma16 - disregard, i found the answer to my questions. Dakars need to be trimmed for the BAMF shackles but not if you reuse the stock ones.

You can upgrade to the "enhanced surveillance" for about $2700: https://www.infotainment.com/collec...rplay-and-android-auto?variant=31755246796836

...which was about the sticker price hike from 2019 to 2020 model year I think.

And TSS doesn't slam on the brakes when a snowflake lands on the grille. If there's heavy snow buildup, the precollision system just shuts off and degrades itself to the same level as 2017s. :p

Yeah I looked at those things... Lol I'm a bit crazy when it comes to try and upgrade with OEM stuff but...
those $ and no working nav, then maybe later on if they get it working your tied into the Toyota subscription system for map updates...
I'm curious though about the software changes they made though,
first time I've heard of someone bothering to Hack an Entune system...
I may drive a 17 but I'm not that retarded!

Did you get the rubber pants for your TSS yet? Careful I'll pull out my squirt gun, and turn you into a 17!
It's ok that your truck has Chionophobia, it's all part of the new generation's personality, that reflects the younger generation buying it.

Don't worry though, I'll put my block heater in so we can dry it out fast.

I got the first model. They revamped it and the clear ancient issues is solved I believe. One of the leafs in my dakars hits the mount. Have to trim it eventually.

I would've gone for it already if it weren't for the high cost. Entune navigation is unusable anyway. I'd be using Google Maps through Android Auto.

The radar is fine with water. I carry a squirt bottle filled with washer fluid to spray off the backup camera and the grille emblem. Might rig up a headlight washer nozzle to point at the grille emblem. :D

I was reading up on the Hammer Hangers...

I can see how they would be easily stronger than stock...

But on their site and according to a few people they really make a noticeable difference in daily driving too.

Did you guys notice the same?

I don't know, but once I put them on I'll let you know. My project was killed with my laziness for research. Maybe in a couple of years...

Even if cost was half I wouldn't go for it. Aftermarket systems have 10x the features at 1/3 the cost. :annoyed:
We need an OVtune for Entune...

Knock on wood Entune Nav has always been great for me which i find surprising with the number of people that complain about it.
Well for addresses anyways, POI information it's not even close to a garman I have in the Dodge that's 4 years old...

It blows my mind that they disabled Traffic, Fuel and weather for Canada....
The Traffic updated with the HD radio signal and actually worked pretty good, (not near as good as waze or google though)
then you would hit the gas app choose the lowest price and select the gas station and the address would go right into the nav, no muss no fuss.
You could even see a local weather radar map ...
Then I made the mistake of letting it update.... :bananadead:

It'll be like what Tesla is trying to do soon.
Subscriptions/features don't transfer with the vehicle, new owner has to subscribe...

    Monthly fees
    Power Windows $2
    Power Seats $2
    Maps $4
10 starts a month, free with 12 month subscription.

Can't believe that just after I got the truck and read that Entune had "apps" I actually believed there could be programmers out there who would make stuff for it.... Where was I claiming that I wasn't retarded.... :anonymous:

I think I'm goingto go pop in an 8Track and listen to some Nazerath.
Reminisce about the good ol days when you only had to worry about din1 and din2 systems and how to get a tape unjammed.
I think I can still fold a map.

Ha! Welcome to the old guys club...

Think we can fit 37's on our walkers before @Norilsk gets them on his truck?

(I've already completed the handlebar chop, and installed the extended axles, so once the locking hubs are on we should be good to go).
