Based off of some of the dynos that I have seen, they can still handle a beating beating tuned like crap. I'll take all of his words serious though. Between him, and the GT1 engineers, they are at the forefront. Don't see those cars billowing smoke either.

There is also a very handy device, which converts diesel into an AFR like gas. Lucario Runner has it on his truck. Made for very easy tuning. Even his has little if any smoke. And it's a monster.

 

Twins and a double 300 hp shot of go juice and should be good to hook.

Highest I got on it was about 730hp but truck was definitely not running mechanically right. It's being looked over and let's just hope the whole motor doesn't have to come out. No idea where how it's doing but the shop is getting after it for me.

But thinking of doing cams now for quicker spool on them big 7163's. All I have left to do is injectors and billet intake manifold after that. If I want 1200whp I'll need me a stroker and that would suck on the streets I think.

 

Pretty sure the engine can last a 1 mile pull. It just seems like a low end tune. Maybe all those boost leaks. It was a pretty funny video, but still sad with how many nice parts are on that motor.

Will it make it? Sure. However. For my point of view, if they were doing something to them "new" for the first time, why not look and see what has been expertly proven before, and devise a plan based off of that. As it seems that they did not, across a few points.

 

Social media blew up today on the topic. They were like calm down people. I wasn't too happy with the end. Fix the pipes and run it. Hoonigans are a bit reckless, but it wouldn't bother me if it was a junk yard motor instead of something so nicely built. They seem to typically use shit box motors which is pretty cool.

 

We're talking about it from a distant perspective and likely still using more respectful criticisms than most people. That alone it was separates those that want everyone to excel because they know that the end result comes back to excel themselves, versus pure negativity.

Look at all of us. How different are we here really? Home-brew turbo master sophomores. Learning as we go, hoping those that treaded the way before us are sharing good advice. While taking into account that we should also do some research to validate that info., in our quest for more smiles per gallon.

I'd take it as an honor if Gale schooled me on my build if I was making a diesel. Well I'll be seeing how both these engines do.
