ok been thinking pressure washers today lol....was convinced on a gas one for the power but..

who has an electric one and how do you like it?

I NEED to pressure wash the driveway and the house (brick and siding), so gotta be strong enough for that. But the convenience of electric seems nice...

I have the one that was branded DeWalt, but I'm pretty sure they are the same manufacturer. I haven't had any problems with mine. Everyone says the pump is crap and that it will go out on you, especially if you hold the trigger for more than 30 seconds at a time. From what I understand, getting a good pump is more important than getting a good engine and you want one with a Triplex pump and not an axial pump.

When I get a new one it’ll be gas because the power cord is annoying for doing our house.

that being said, I have a greenworks 1800 psi electric pressure that does pretty well. My wife ran it for 3 hours straight a couple days in a row with no issues.

yeah I need one that can run for hours at a time, because I'll just set aside a day and pressure wash for hours upon hours lol.

I get that the electrical cord can be annoying, but so can maintaining a gas pressure washer. pros and cons right? plus price. I can get an electric for half a gas, but is it worth it?

I have literally only ever used gas pressure washers, so 0 knowledge for electric ones or if they'll do a tough job. plenty of reviews and junk out there just wanted some input from folks I know.

I have the Ryobi Electric pressure washer for around my house and love it! Super quiet compared to my dad's gas pressure washer. When you let go of the trigger, it just shuts off so the noise is gone. I've done my wood deck, concrete driveway, vinal siding on the house, and put the lower pressure nozzle in for washing the truck after hitting it with the foam blaster. As for the cord, I figured that if you have to have a water line attached than what harm is it to have the power cord attached as well.

Yes but my driveway was not terrible to begin with. I just used the Turbo Nozzle that came with it. If you are wanting a more professional results just grab the extra attachment.

edit - don't use the turbo nozzle on paint b/c it will come off

I've had mine for almost a year. I ran it for about 3 hrs and it never faded or seemed to over heat. But also remember that in the 3 hrs when you let go of the trigger for any reason the motor stops and starts to cool.

Also, just grab this cool attachment and you can spray the driveway and underside of you truck. https://www.homedepot.com/p/RYOBI-Pressure-Washer-Water-Broom-RY31211/300701617

We bought a Honda Powered Troy built back in 2010 when we bought this house. It still fires up on one pull. I think it was $350 back then. 2600 max psi

I wish they would give me a discount on all their stuff I've bought over the years. I got advice from some old guys at work before buying into a brand. Now all the power tools I own are Ryobi. I get the extended warranty from HomeDepot just in case but never had an issue. I've got most of their stuff now. I'm looking to get the chainsaw next to go with the weed eater and leaf blower. Love those things (no mixing gas and oil).

I have a Ryobi cordless impact and it performs flawlessly! All my other tools area corded and gas-powered though.

yeah I know a gas would hold up and be strong enough for anything I throw at it....just wondering if the pros of electric are worth it. literally the only con is power that I see for electric.....IF they last as long....well at least half as long since they're half the price..

I have the corded leafblower, and the battery jigsaw from ryobi and love both of them.

I had an electric powered one before the gas powered Honda. It still worked but I threw it in the trash after using the Honda the first time. The power cord on the pressure washer was so annoying. I personally won't go back to a corded but they are easier on the wallet. Curious if they will last as long. I don't think anything can beat a Honda powered piece of equipment for the home though. Mowers to pressure washers they last. That's my experience anyway

yeah I get the cord hassle, but I've got a corded leaf blower, corded chainsaw, etc...so I'm used to all that...

I like the pros of the electric of quiet operation so no annoying the neighbors, no gas, no oil, no worry setting it up for winter, lightweight, etc etc...

I agree with you on the honda motors, but they require maintenance....and I have gotten spoiled with my worx chainsaw with it ONLY requiring bar oil haha
