They’re from an 09 civic coupe I found at the scrap yard. To get them to fit I had to cut the feet off of the old tracks and had a buddy weld them on to the new seat tracks. I think only one of the feet from the civic seats lined up with a stock bolt location.

They sit a little higher than stock but it’s a night and day difference in comfort. I just spent ~12hrs in it driving and could actually walk afterwards!

Thanks man! I'm pretty impressed by everyone else with some epic builds and mods.

Really?! Damn, the bumper couldn't even get me $80 around here. Should have explored more options.

Ayy looks wicked good. How's the rear seat access? I figure they don't flip forward as well as stock(?)

I would love to swap seats. My 60/40 bench is in fine condition (other than a few burn holes:rasta:) but i don't want to lose the folding factor. I remember someone brainstorming on using sienna backseats that totally collapse and I loved that idea. I feel like 2nd gen access cab seats fold flat, and that would be wicked nice to have as I use the backseat a lot.

    Anyways great work!

When I did my WRX seats I didn't think about that aspect, it makes doing anything in the back area a bitch.

I think you'd be alright if you use seats from a coupe. They will fold forward so that people can people can climb into the back. I was looking at doing a similar swap with 7th gen Civic seats, but I don't trust myself to weld on seats brackets just yet.

Good point on coupe seats! Before I go buying anything I want to check out the sienna option, esp if there's one at my mechanic/junkyard. It's a great thing to have a 2 in 1.

Ever since installing the OME Daker leaf springs back in '17 they have been the noisiest, rubbery, squeaky mofos ever. Every so often I would get under there with a pressure washer and blast out between the leafs, let it dry and then spray in some dry lube...which made a difference for single digit days. I came to the conclusion that this all was because Wheeler's Offroad sold me the whole OME kit with their crap shackle bushings instead of the OME yellow bushings and so finally swapped them in and used good poly grease. So far...night and fucking day difference. No longer embarrassed to drive slowly through the neighborhood or mall parking lot and have people turn their heads to see what the hell is making that annoying squeaking noise. And let's just not mention the horrid noises they made going over speed bumps.:woot:

    15888739746551.jpg

I'll update this post in about a week if this is all just a cosmic joke for me to spend $ and the squeak returns.

<EDIT/UPDATE> Well...it was nice while it lasted...for all of 3 days. Back to annoying squeak. Only a $36 experiment so not a big deal. Now I'll try a "fix" of loosening the shackle bolts to let the bushings "relax," liberally coat them with a silicon PTFE spray, especially where they rub against the shackles, tighten everything back up and see what happens</EDIT/UPDATE>

They are supposed to have fixed them these days from what I read, but as a former squeaker myself, I went another route for my leafs.

Good luck, its embarrassing to be proudly mall cruising and then just start squeaking

When these leaves finally die I'll look into Alcan or Deavers but until then this is, so far fingers crossed, a quiet blessing

Yeah when I had Dakars a big source of the squeaking was the shackles in the rear, but also the front hangar bushing. In the end I learned the best way to combat the squeaking from the bushings is to make sure you're using the right kind of grease in them (silicone PTFE grease). Energy Suspension and Daystar sell little tubs of it, it's the same kind of stuff that the bushings come with in those tiny little grease packets. Slather it on generously or the poly bushings will squeak like crazy.
