Looking to pick up some fog lights for my 2020 SR. Do I need to buy the housing too since mine didn't come equipped with fog lights or does the "cover" just come out and install the light? Any recommendations for what I should be purchasing if I need all the wiring and the switch? I don't really want LED but kind of want the amber fog light...

I saw that link and really didn’t want to mess with the way Toyota wired everything up.
So I bought trd or fogs and bezels and after market wire harness for the h11 bulbs and did it myself.1D29543E-17A9-4F9C-A04A-3F4C37718C26.jpgyou don’t have to tap into the low beam, you can have a switch in the cab.

Yes, the fogs are on when the low beam is on. I believe the 15 amp fuse is for the relay, I was told when I bought the harness.

I picked up a new set of lights on flea-bay for 27 bucks delivered.

The snap in trim pieces were 8 bucks each from cobb county toyota in georgia with free shipping.

I got a Toyota fog light button off of Amazon for 10 bucks delivered, and a Toyota brand blue relay for $5.

Finally, I ordered a 10 pack of H11 plugs/pins so I can make my own harness for fog lights since the factory wiring harness is more money than I spent on everything else combined. It was $8.

I have plenty of wire in my tool chest, so its a good time to break out my over priced crimps and play with the new truck.

I bought a generic H11 foglight harness with switch off ebay for $11, but it looks kinda cheap so I'm going the custom route and not using it. Its not worth returning.

They just screw into the bumper cover with one screw from the back side. The trim pieces just snap on the front. It looks really flimsy to me, but I guess Toyota is good with it so I should be too.

I have considered gluing some nylocks to the back of the fog light housing and using a small bolt from the front to make it more secure.

Man that's where I'm getting all confused. Worried enough about trying to figure out the install but first need to make sure I have everything I need:

Would something like this include everything:

    https://www.cjponyparts.com/fog-light-clear-with-wiring-kit-pair-toyota-tacoma-2016-2020/p/FGLA61/

and is there a good option for a Non-LED Amber fog light.... or should I just get somethign like this?

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/SS3-Sport-...?fits=Year:2020|Model:Tacoma&epid=10037475376

Although it looks like the 2nd one would require some additional modification since my vehicle isn't already fog ready...

If you buy one of these all in one kits, they all come with ORANGE fog light buttons that don't match the newer blue dash or shitty double stick tape style buttons that look pretty trashy in your fancy truck. Also, the wiring harness that is included is redundant, bulky, and unnecessary, and you can buy the parts of the "kit" for $10 less than in the kit. If you give me a priority mail envelope postage image, I will send you the harness I bought that will require lots of chopping to make it fit in with the OEM.

This is the BLUE button I ordered:

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/12V-Blue-LED-Fog-Light-Bar-Push-Switch-fit-Toyota-Tacoma-4Runner-FJ-Cruiser/264298086361?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

Then the foglights I ordered, they are glass, and cheap, with H11 bulbs:

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/For-Toyota-Tacoma-2016-2017-2018-2019-Fog-Light-Lamps-w-H11-Halogen-Light-Bulbs/172742688329?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

You can literally get any fogs you want, it doesn't matter as it comes down to connecting 2 wires per side. I think the fogs are the same lamp for everything from the corolla to the rav4, but i'm not positive. The pictures all look the same to me.

I was half tempted to buy these as they looked about the same:

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/LED-6000K-Fog-Light-For-Toyota-RAV4-2006-2012-Replacement-Housing-Assembly-Lamp/401864695135?fits=Model%3ATacoma

Here are the OEM fog light bezels. They are just flimsy plastic snap in parts, its cheaper at the dealer than anywhere else I have seen online. This is the price I paid 4 days ago.

    Description:Fog Lamp Bezel. Fog Lights.
    Part Number: PT35335160AA
    Price:$8.17

    Description:Fog Lamp Bezel. Fog Lights.
    Part Number: PT35335160AB
    Price:$8.17

Here are the pretty blue relays that match the ones already in your fuse box:

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07RZHLMJP/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1

This is the pin kit for the H11 plugs I ordered:

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07TMWHRPG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

This is the shitty harness that comes with EVERY kit and its anything but factory looking and harder to wire. The trucks are already wired for fogs if you have keyless, so no need to even bother.

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/H11-H8-Rel...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

You have to connect the green and white wires in this plug to your fogs with a couple wires. I am cutting off the factory connector and just adding one of the H11 plug sets because I can't find the toyota part number for the plug/pins. (I only have one half of this connector as I don't have fog lights yet.) I borrowed the pic from:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/nitoris-oem-sr-foglight-mod.451495/page-4#post-14525776

Then you can connect the the switch into the blue/white wires that go to the steering wheel plug OR you can buy a whole new turn signal stalk with the fog light dial built in.

So that's literally everything I bought except the wire to connect from the harness pictured to the H11 bulbs.
