I dunno if it's true but I remember hearing growing up that if you handle a baby bird, the mother will reject it from the nest or something like that

sweet old man with good intentions :)

there are a couple swallows nests in the overhang off the shop. If one got pushed out and didn't fly I don't think we'd find it. The dogs would probably leave us a jigsaw puzzle

I grew up hearing that too but it's simply not true.

I only found out because I'm doing laundry at my house and kept hearing a few birds squawking in a weird way....stepped outside to find my FIL holding a baby bird

Most of you probably never heard this one, but when is was a kid, in the 60's, parents wouldn't let you go swimming for a half hour (or sometimes an hour) after you ate, because you would get stomach cramps and drown.

Ditto, well minus the instrument...but we had to be involved in a sport or some kind of recreational activity from about 6 yrs old on up.

I was terrible at every sport I played until I started playing hockey at ~12, in basketball and baseball I was always that kid that got the "Most Improved Player Award", aka the worst kid on the team lol

I did start playing guitar in high school and was pretty involved with it until my mid 20s. Can still play some tunes but my fingers don't have the callouses on the ends anymore so it hurts like fuck after awhile lol
