I'd love to see one of the grilles in black.

Got a call Tuesday that it was "in" via an Automated system but have not seen it yet nor received a tracking number.. I'm very anxious to get it. Anyone from California get theirs quickly? ordered mine exactly a week ago.

 

Just got mine last night and installed in like 10 mintues. So stoked
I am wondering if the color is a slight bit off...or maybe just cuz my truck is so damn dirty...anyways, guess its a good excuse to wash her up

 

It's normal for the paint to be a bit off. Plastic takes paint differently than metal. Mine is a factory sport and even that is off slightly.

 

Really? I've seen TRD Sport models with the radiant red grills stock, and I thought the X runner had them stock too? I really want to get my truck to the red and black colour scheme instead having the 3 colours.

 

He said "Impulse" Red... there are different shades depending on year.

I know of Radiant.. Impulse and Barcelona Reds

David is a super nice guy to deal with.. called him today since I had not gotten a tracking number and stuff and it had been a week, he said (in his southern draw) "Looks likes it's on the truck righta bout now, out for delivery" gave me the tracking number... 15 minutes later, bam.. at my door.

You won't find an Impulse Red grille already painted. You will have to buy a plain one and have it painted. They didn't make the sport models in Impulse Red - so no painted grilles

I want one, but whats the deal with Radiant Red? Did they stop making tacomas in that color? Would I be able to get a Radiant Red from David still?

 

'08 was the last year for radiant red... Just checked a couple of sites and no go. You'll have to buy an unpainted one and have it painted.

 

If I order one now in black will it be Black Sand Pearl to match my 09' or will it be the new 2011 Black?
Anyone have an idea on $ to ship up to Washington?

Yea, Just spoke with David. Radiant red is a no go. damnit. Now I'm going to have to either have it painted, or attempt painting it myself.

 

If you talk to Dave, just let him know. He still had 2010 and earliers in stock and those will be in Black Sand Pearl. He has the 2011's too, but only in Black.

 

can someone who ordered a grill from dave tell me what shipping method was used? (fedex,ups,usps,etc.)

I ordered mine a few days back and am wondering what time I should be around my house because the different shipping company's come at different times.
