Has anyone used the stock LED turn signal lights as a Amber DRL? Are the lights able to handle the extra work load?
I like the white DRL when the headlights are off, but when the headlights are on, the DRL doesn't stand out. I think it would be cool to have Amber DRLs when the headlights are on.

You could just swap out the white DRL to amber, that may get the look you're going for...though I'm kinda biased

I had the stock LEDs replaced with amber ones that are soldered in - that said, I know Diode Dynamics offers a board, probably others too.

I get that the wires would need to be changed, but I figured that it would be nice if you could just keep the factory hardware since the DRLs and Amber turn signals are the same light

I asked MESO about this when I got my 2020 and it sounded like way too much work to be worth it.

You can just do a amber vinyl over the DRL light. If you don't like it rip it off!

The DRL is white and then the same light turns orange when the signals are on. Pretty sure both are LED

That's actually a good idea to see how it looks.

OP, try this before opening the headlight or spending lots of $$$.

With vehicle OFF, remove the TAIL fuse.
    Then do this:

    upload_2020-5-9_7-20-10.jpg
See if you like the results. It's only a test. If you like the results then do the same from below the relays. Cutting the yellow n red wires to the DRL relay and jumping them to the BATTERY CHARGER Relay. If you do it, remember to remove the negative terminal to vehicle battery.

    What exactly does this do?
Where'd you find this? Is there more info or video?
I'll have to try it one of these days

So you came up with it?
Is it just manually powering the orange part of the drl?

So it does not turn OFF when headlights are selected...The Dimming is done by the Parking/Tail circuit input.
The orange is the turn signal
