new in dash 7inch touch screen for $140

I like it, but i think the constant blue would bug me. It sounds like a really good deal though. Does the ipod plug in the back? And does it have ipod control?

 

I really want to see the final result here... Considering I just forked over a sizable amount of cash for a Pioneer AVIC-X920BT....

 

I'm pretty sure the color of the screen can be changed I'm hoping to use my own pis for it... I've seen some guys have custom pictures for every screen.. Still not sure though....

As for the ipod its an rca that hooks in the back and I'm running the wire to the small compartment on the lower right side of the steering wheel.

Sooo as for an update on progress I went to audio excellence today to pick up the harness and was told that it didn't come in with their shipment today soo I gottapick it up tomorrow after work!! Ill be in there at 1pm!!

 

I stumbled upon this thread yesterday and decided it was time to do something like this so.............I found this one and made offer of 135 and got it with free shipping. Also ordered the TV antenna and the backup camera for another 54.00. Also got a dash kit with harnesses. Not sure if it's Scosche or Metra. Wondering now if I'm gonna need some digital converter for the TV part to work since unit says analog tuner. Checking on that now.......

The issue I see is hat the GPS isn't built in. To me that mans that even with a disc that they don't tell you where to get it doesn't have a GPS module to even pin point where you are.

I only got mine for the GPS, everthing else is just icing. I would have saved up another month or two and got something like this

Ok guys I need some help from someone who's changed stereos before!

I hooked everything up my self usind the amp bypass harness that allows the aftermarket unit's rca's... I have power to the unit and everything works but I have no sound!! Does anyone know what else needs to be wire?

 

Ohh so here's an update.... Tues my origan install day I ordered the wireharness from audio excellence and was told it would arrive the next day at noon I waited got no call so I went there and found out that the guy didn't order it so some other guy that was there looked it up and ordered it... So I went back yesterday and they ordered the wrong one!! Then he tried like 5 and none of them worked so he asked me to come back today... I went to a different shop yesterday and found the harness for 20 instead of the 30 I had already paid and they had it there! My buddy bailed out on me yedterday so I hooked it all up and that's where my question is..... Y don't I have sound????

 

Becuase you dont know what you are doing or you got a raw deal on a cheap stereo! LOL im just playn with you! Lets see some pics man!

 

Not sure about the problem, but does the jbl system have an amp somewhere? Or was it located in the head unit? It there is no amp in there I would think you should not be using the preamp outputs but the amplified outputs from the new unit.

If there is a jbl amp in there somewhere does it have power, some amps need the head unit to tell the amp when to turn on.

Ive installed plenty of radios, but am not familiar with the taco jbl system and the Chinese computer/radio.

When I did some research on these in the past several people did receive units that had problems, but in all the cases the vendor sent a new one quickly and made good.

soo what i got for being impatient and not doing my research first was a headache and 40bucks down the drain!! ok soo after doing my research I found that the wire harness I need is the scoche TA07SR!! Which works to power my stock jbl amp sub and speakers! that was why I had no sound... soo far none of the problems have been because of my cheap chinese head unit the problems were because of the impatien mexican! hahaha soo I guess I will have to order my $70 wire harness!
