Leather seats was one of the reasons I bought a pro. I have two dogs I take just about everwhere. I use a leaf blower to clean out the hair and the leather makes it easier.

Maybe because of the tone of my earlier messages in my post it wasn't clear, I was agreeing with you.

Thanks for the Sonax recommendation. I have never found a leather cleaner / conditioner I like. And, haven't figured out a good way to clean ventilated leather seats. I'll try this out!

As for the debate, there are pros and cons to both leather and cloth. It's good to have a choice in the Tacoma. People can choose the best one for their use.

IDK if the leather in the center is coated but if it is; avoid Lexol because it can soften and mess up the coating. I always used Zaino leather in a bottle on my old F150 and the Charger and was always pleased with the results even if you have to have a bottle of cleaner and a bottle of the conditioner. Plus it helps keep the wheel from getting grimy and all shiny if you keep up with it.
And the slight hint of leather smell afterwards is always a plus to me though your mileage may vary on that if you don't like the leather smell

Toyota uses cheap/fake leather anyway, and if you live in a hot area like Las Vegas cloth is the way to go.

Except I DO come here to read about topics like this. Not to b*itch about it. I welcome the discussion. And if I’m not interested, I just don’t read it. I don’t shame people for talking about it.

Try the foaming cleaner and conditioner and use a foam applicator. The Telluride has gray leather and blue jeans can discolor it, but this stuff takes it right off.

Cloth smell like shit. Also dog hair and dust. With leather, just simply wipe it off with anything

I had cloth in my first car, and it started to smell after a few years. Years of dog odor, food, you name it just creeping into the cloth. My wife's Highlander has leather and the vehicle has no smell whatsoever.

I haven't seen this discussed much, but having leather is crucial when you have kids. I can't imagine having cloth with my 3-year old. My leather is super easy to clean.

Just condition the leather every 3 months and you're gold. I condition my wife's Highlander leather regularly, and it's basically like new.

I will always choose leather over cloth so much easier to maintain. I never had any issues with the leather cracking its called maintenance. I live in Florida and will still prefer leather. I have the windows tinted and when parked use a sun shield.

Leather is tacky Looking in my opinion. And super uncomfortable and looks like shit when it starts to wear out. This is also a utility truck lol.

Some leather looks tacky, some cloth looks tacky. It varies a lot, but people seem to have a lot of opinions on it, haha.

A few years back I was looking at ordering a BMW M235i and really wanted the cloth interior, which BMW sells in certain countries and there is a factory build code for the Canadian-spec cars but BMW Canada doesn't bring them in and refused to place the order with the factory with that build code selected. I ended up calling it all off and did an engine swap on my Lexus instead, which has cloth.

    Which would you prefer:

    Why Leather from Dealer?
    1. They can sell a higher price
    2. To fool people that it is more luxury

    Why I don't like Leather:
    1. Heavy
    2. They crack up after a period of ownership

Therefore, I have my Rig installed the Wet okole. It is waterproof! :)

Mine came with it couldn’t really care about that it seems cheap compared to my last trucks actual leather. They started cracking at 60k miles now at 140k is one good fart away from ripping.

I had a 2008 rav4 limited with "leather", it started cracking on the side at around 60k miles. The crack never got worse, but it was a eye sore.
