Today I'm going to get some paperwork started on the Supra. Going to run all the numbers and decide whether or not I can keep the taco.

 

My sale person doesn't know it yet, but I shall probably be either making or ruining his day. LoL

 

Keep the Taco. The world is ending. Unless you're gona mad max that supra....

If at all possible I will be keeping the Taco. But the numbers have to work. I don't want to over-extend myself. But remember, we have a GX470 which is just as capable, if not arguably more capable, as the Taco. So I'm not really loosing capability in that realm.

Either way, the plan is to keep the Taco. But also, if it comes down to it, I think I want the Supra more. I've been without a fast toy for too long and I'm starting to fiend a bit.

 

A GXOR would be sweet. A ton of companies have started making stuff for them… probably more so than than tundra

Basically all Lexis is, just a Toyota with a little bit fancier interior and a different badge but people pay about 40 percent more.

Very true, I dont think the GX matches up to a 4Runner very well, I was just making a general statement about Lexis. I just think they are fancy Toyotas that you pay a premium for.

 

The 470 is the 4.7 Liter. You can get that in the 4runner up unitl like 2009 or 2010. Which is also when they went to the 4.6L with timing Chains instead of a stupid belt. Then the Lexus is the only way to get the V8. When I bought the GX I was actually searching for a V8 4Runner but I couldn't find one that wasn't super rusted out.

 

The used IS is a steal. You can get one a couple years old for like 15k-20k. That’s a hell of a car for that price. I bought mine for like $14k (IS250 AWD) with right around 100,000 miles.

 

Lexus hoards all the good drive trains and sometimes they trickle down to the Toyota models lol

 

They are a bit more but used they are about the same. When new 4runners are in the 40-50k range, it’s hard to not consider a Lexus.

 

In my opinion the drivetrains and the cabin comfort/silence makes the Lexus' worth it. The GX470 is SO nice on road trips because you are so isolated from the outside world.
